‘The Jig Up’ – Actor Michael Rappaport Blasts ‘Fake’ Jake Paul For Scrapping Madison Square Garden Event

The YouTuber-turned-boxer was set to take on his toughest opponent to date this weekend at Madison Square Garden in New York before he withdrew from the fight and claimed his opponent could not make weight.

UFC president Dana White and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn have since suggested that the reason Paul’s latest fight is off is due to poor ticket sales.

Rappaport, who is known for his roles in True Romance, Dr. Doolittle 2, Friends, and Atypical, is an avid sports fan who often rants on social media.

The 52-year-old took aim at ‘The Problem Child’ in his latest post by echoing what White and Hearn had to say about the fight cancellation and also branded the 5-0 boxer ‘fake’.

“Fake Paul. Fake Paul. Don’t front, stop the lying and the bullc***ping,” Rapport said on Instagram.

“Your fight that was supposed to go down in the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, didn’t get cancelled because of some weight thing. It got cancelled because no one bought tickets, OK?”

Rappaport insisted that the former Disney actor is not worthy of fighting at the same arena that has hosted some of the most famous names in sports history.

“No one bought tickets to that fake fight, Fake Paul. You’re not a fighter. You want to be a real fighter? Fight a real fighter, OK? Take a real drug test, OK? The ruse, the con, the bull-jive, is over, Fake Paul.”

It seems unlikely that a fight between Paul and Rahman Jr. will be rebooked.

The 25-year-old could soon have another, much more intriguing fight as MMA star Nate Diaz is set to become a free agent after taking on Khamzat Chimaev on September 10 at UFC 279.

Paul and Diaz have been going back and forth at each other for some time about a fight that is now a very real possibility for later in 2022.
