General Hospital Spoilers: Did Heather Lie About Esme’s Paternity – Letter Confesses Ryan Not Bio Dad?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the show may be looking for some new twists and turns now that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is dead. Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) will presumably get more airtime following her reunion with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), so it’ll be interesting to see where her story goes from here.

Of course, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) was also killed off, but Heather Webber (Alley Mills) survived the escape plot and was ultimately locked up again.

Since Alley Mills has confirmed she’ll make a GH comeback as Heather, we should consider what her return stint might look like.

Heather already reached out to Esme in a letter that was sent to Spring Ridge, but viewers were left in the dark on the contents of that letter.

Now that Esme is free, maybe Heather could find out where she’s staying and send even more letters her way.

Heather certainly seems like the type to harass her daughter and perhaps dangle some bait in hopes that Esme will visit.

Maybe Heather will drop some big bombshell in one of these letters if she hasn’t already.

We can think of one potential storyline opportunity since Ryan got a fatal exit. Now that Esme’s father is no longer in the picture, could she get a new one through a rewrite?

There was never any proof that Ryan was Esme’s bio dad, so it’s possible Heather lied.

Esme was found with a keepsake from Ryan’s chain as a baby, but what if that simply led her down the path of wrong conclusions?

It could’ve been a situation where Heather later leaned into the false assumption and wanted to pretend Ryan was the father since she was obsessed with him.

Heather had turned against Ryan by the time he exited, so what if she’s ready to come clean?

It’d open up plenty of new story routes if Esme’s biological father turns out to be someone else.

Heather could even be cagey about this man’s identity and make it a challenge for Esme to uncover the truth.

Now that Ryan’s dead and gone, that’s a dead end for Esme’s storyline, too.

If a rewrite reveals that Heather lied about the paternity, then Esme will suddenly have a new mystery to unravel!
