General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Morgan Corinthos’ (last played by Bryan Craig) name recently came up again, so it’s the perfect time to talk about this important character and whether he might make a comeback.
Although Morgan is presumed deceased, that means nothing on a soap! It’d be easy for the show to come up with a wild explanation for Morgan’s return.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) still miss their son dearly. The same goes for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), who mentioned Morgan in his emotional conversation with Sonny on the September 12 episode.
Michael reflected on how he used to play games along with Morgan and make up stories to explain away the danger when they went to the island.
It’s interesting that Michael brought Morgan into his talk about the mob and his complicated feelings over the years.
Now that Michael is letting go of all his anger and reconnecting with Sonny, is he poised to become the good son who’s unproblematic while messy Morgan returns?
That’s an option to consider, especially if Morgan is secretly working for the enemy!
It’d be a terrific twist if Morgan was tangled up with one of Sonny’s foes, so Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and his crew could be a possibility.
However, Pikeman might be an even better option since some major revelations are still to come about their business and leader.
GH buzz hints that Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King) might be over Pikeman, so it could lead to an excellent big reveal if that’s the case.
Of course, there could be another huge twist if Morgan is secretly alive and employed by Pikeman.
If Morgan has amnesia or has been brainwashed in some way, he might have no qualms about going after Sonny once things go south.
There’s a good chance Pikeman won’t like the fact that they were dragged into Sonny’s latest stunt with the FBI, so retaliation could be coming.
Wouldn’t it be something if Morgan was revealed to be part of the action in the end?
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) mentioned that Sonny was like a father to him not too long ago, but maybe it’s time to bring back Sonny’s actual son to go up against Dex.
Morgan and Dex could make great rivals, especially considering the tight spot that’d put Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) in.
Bottom line, there are always going to be some fantastic reasons to put Morgan back in the mix, so stay tuned for updates on whether that shocking news might be coming for Sonny.
