General Hospital Spoilers: Willow Nears The End-Can She Hold On For Liesl’s Return?
General Hospital spoilers and updates tease that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is nearing the end. She collapsed shortly after her wedding to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and her leukemia has progressed-can she hold on for Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) return?
General Hospital Spoilers – Liesl Obrecht Rescued, But Willow Corinthos Weaker
Michael immediately got Willow to General Hospital, where TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) cared for her – TJ ran tests and Willow was stabilized and admitted. But the tests showed that Willow’s blood was no longer clotting, and her lymph nodes were putting pressure on her internal organs. Willow would have preferred to stay home with her children and husband but TJ advised she’d be safer staying in GH.
At that time no one knew if Liesl would return, but soon Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) got a call-it was Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Liesl herself came on the line and verified they’d be there soon, where she joked Willow could suck all her bone marrow.
GH Spoilers – Willow Corinthos Will Need To Remain In Isolation To Prepare
Willow is told that until the day of the transplant, she’ll need to remain in isolation to prepare her body to receive the bone marrow. That means she’ll be in a sterile environment, with a plastic shield that goes from the ceiling to the floor-her doctors and nurses in Hazmat type gear. She will be receiving daily doses of chemotherapy as well and can only talk to family and friends on the phone, the name of the game being retain the status quo. Willow also thinks, really thinks, and reevaluates her relationship with her newly discovered birth mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros); she’d asked Carly to make peace with Nina. Now she asks for Nina to leave Carly alone and to make peace with her, which brought a response of being sorry for mistakes she’d made-but she agreed.
General Hospital Spoilers – Liesl Obrecht Will Need Checking Out
Obviously, Liesl will need checking out as well once she arrives, to make sure she is still able to donate-after handling pathogens and developing antidotes in less than ideal clinical conditions. She suffered a cut when falling after Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) took off with the canister of pathogen, but salvaged the antidote and gave it to Holly Sutton (Emma Samms). But once she’s been checked out and passes muster, the bone marrow transplant for Willow can take place.
The question is, in Willow’s weakened state, can she hold on for Liesl’s readiness? Will Willow be able to handle the transplant at this late stage?
