General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Is Dex’s Biological Father – Shocking Reveal Saves Son from Grim Fate?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the show could be gearing up for a big reveal involving Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) past. Dex’s involvement in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) takedown has always felt rather personal, so maybe there’s a deeper connection that’ll ultimately be exposed.
Of course, Dex has faced moments of doubt along the way.
GH fans know Dex has grown closer to Sonny and has watched him be a good dad to some of Sonny’s other children, so sticking with Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) plan hasn’t always been easy.
However, now Michael is the one who’s bailing on the takedown plot – and Dex isn’t happy about it!
Although Dex acknowledged that he’d come to see Sonny in a new light, it wasn’t enough for him to bail on wanting Sonny behind bars.
Is this just about Dex wanting to escape the mob and date Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) or could there be more to the story?
It’d be quite the twist if Dex is Sonny’s long-lost son. There’s a chance that Dex has been out for personal revenge from the get-go if he felt abandoned and has always been fed reasons to hate Sonny.
Then again, maybe Dex has no idea that Sonny is his biological father if that’s a revelation that the writers planned for later.
It could come as a shock to Sonny and even Dex himself if the writers can find another way to reveal the connection.
Ever since the character debuted, fans have speculated on social media about Dex’s biological parents, so Papa Sonny has been a popular theory!
Considering how kids always seem to pop out of the woodwork when it comes to Sonny, it wouldn’t be too surprising.
Lily Corinthos (Lilly Melgar) was Sonny’s first wife and was pregnant when she seemingly died in a car bomb explosion, but what if she secretly survived and gave birth to Dex?
Then again, there have been hints that the show might recast Brenda Barrett (last played by Vanessa Marcil), so a rewrite could make her Dex’s mother instead if she comes back to town.
Regardless, the main thing here would be giving Sonny and Dex a father-son link.
If Sonny ultimately finds out Dex was a plant meant to take him down, a family connection might be the only thing that keeps him alive!
