General Hospital: Many people are not aware, but Entertainment is a serious business. Actors go through a plethora of emotions in a span as short as a few hours to bring to the screen some really soul-stirring and heart-wrenching scenes. However, our beloved actors are so seasoned in their craft that as soon as they are off the camera, they shrug off their character’s emotions and get back into the flow of their own life. But, sometimes, shedding a character’s skin gets difficult. The emotion seeps in so deep that they feel the effects long after they have left the sets.
Something similar happened with General Hospital star Cynthia Watros. In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, Cynthia opened up about a hard-hitting incident. She admitted that she once broke down in her dressing room and cried over a scene she had just filmed. The scene in question happens to be the one where Carly finally broke to her that Willow is her daughter. “It was really probably one of the hardest things that I’ve ever done,” Cynthia admitted.
Cynthia Speaks About Nina’s “Open Wounds” On General Hospital
The General Hospital star asserted that she usually has no trouble shaking off her characters after the shoot. However, she admitted that this one stayed with her for a time. It was not a very lengthy scene with long or heavy dialogues. But there was so much anger, disbelief, and an “undercurrent of the volcano of emotion” that Nina felt. The matter of children is still sort of an open wound for Nina, Cynthia pointed.
The Daytime Emmy Winner shared that one particular filming of that General Hospital scene was especially hard for her. “I couldn’t shake it,” she admitted. “I just sat in my dressing room and cried. It was soaked into my skin!” Cynthia added. Well, we have no trouble believing the fine actress. The scene was absolutely hair-raising! But we might get some more similarly intense scenes soon! Especially now that Nina’s SEC -leak truth could explode in front of Sonny at any moment!
