General Hospital Recap: Thursday, June 15 – Nina Takes Off Engagement Ring – Ava Searches Sonny’s Place
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 15, reveals that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) showed up at Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) birthday party and impressed him with a limited edition painting of the original Savoy – though Curtis still seemed protective of Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).
As for Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), he decided to move out so that Curtis could use this time to work on rebuilding his family with Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Trina.
Down in the Metro Court restaurant, Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston) spotted Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and told Portia that she was the one who helped Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) when he looked unsteady.
Once Zeke realized Portia and Jordan knew each other, there was some awkwardness.
Portia got updates on how Jordan and Zeke met by chance, so she said Zeke was a big talker and probably pinned Jordan down for hours!
After Trina sent Spencer to request a different playlist, he encountered Jordan, Portia and Zeke near the bar.
Spencer remembered Zeke from the wedding and was perfectly polite, but Zeke glared out of protectiveness for Trina.
When Zeke was alone with Jordan, he asked if there was something she wanted to tell him.
Jordan admitted she was the police commissioner and Curtis’ ex-wife, but she assured him that she only found out about Zeke’s connection to Portia last night.
Zeke realized Curtis was the ex that Jordan had mentioned kissing, but Jordan saw no reason to reveal that to Portia.
Although Zeke was upset over Jordan pushing him to lie, she acted like it was best to just put that kiss in the past.
Back at the party, Portia spoke to Spencer about how difficult it could be to juggle co-parenting with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl). If Esme eventually went to prison, then all the responsibilities would fall on Spencer.
Spencer made it clear that he’d always make time for Trina, but he got called away to pick Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) up from daycare since the worker was ill.
When Portia met back up with Zeke, he insisted that Trina deserved better than Spencer and Portia deserved better than Curtis.
Zeke got Portia’s attention by mentioning his issue with Curtis was how he’d behaved since the wedding.
Over with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), he refused to let Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) land in prison and insisted it was too late to stop the deal he was working out.
Carly pointed out that Drew would lose more time with Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) if he ended up behind bars, but Drew felt Scout would be in a loving, stable home with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears), on the other hand, would have to stay with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) if Carly got locked up.
Carly didn’t want to lose Drew, who said she still had him – though he’d understand if she didn’t want to wait for him.
Although Carly repeatedly tried to talk Drew out of this, he insisted he was doing this for her and for them.
At Sonny’s place, he attempted to nail down wedding plans with Nina, who was distracted over Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
Sonny admitted someone else might’ve turned in Carly and Drew to score leverage against him.
After Sonny tried to get Nina’s mind on the wedding again, she said that “if” she married Sonny, she’d be the luckiest woman alive.
Sonny wondered if there was a question of whether they would wed, so Nina corrected herself and acted like she meant “when” instead.
Once Ava Jerome (Maura West) arrived, Dante called Sonny and informed him that the doctors were about to wake Ned up. Sonny headed to the hospital, which gave Nina a chance to deliver some bad news to Ava.
When Ava learned Ned knew about Nina tipping off the SEC, she pushed Nina to get ahead of this and tell Sonny the truth first.
Nina felt like today would be the end of her engagement, so she left her ring behind to make things easier for Sonny and felt she had to start letting him go.
After Nina asked Ava to stay with the girls, she took off for the hospital.
While Ava waited for the nanny to show up, she called Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) and pointed out she was alone in Sonny’s penthouse.
Ava sought Austin’s help on where to look for incriminating evidence.
At GH, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) was nervous over Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) text, which revealed that she would return to Port Charles soon.
Selina wanted to discuss settling up, but Gladys texted that she needed more time to pay her back.
When a jumpy Gladys dropped her phone, Sonny picked it up and handed it back to her.
Gladys acted like she was on edge over Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) guardianship potentially ending and felt it was too soon, but Sonny insisted that was up to Sasha and the judge.
When Nina met up with Sonny at the hospital, he sensed that something was wrong and noticed she wasn’t wearing her ring. Sonny seemed puzzled and asked where it was.
In the Quartermaine stables, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) gave Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) a pep talk and convinced him to visit Ned.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) came barging in and ordered Leo to get cleaned up, but Cody pointed out that Leo responded better to gentle suggestions.
That led to Tracy lashing out over Cody thinking he had a right to tell her anything about her grandson.
After Tracy treated Cody like an awful criminal, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) popped up and pushed her to leave him alone.
Although Tracy agreed to ease Leo out of his routine with Cody slowly, she still wanted Cody gone once Ned was better.
Brook Lynn privately reassured Cody about smoothing things over since they’d all miss him if he left – including her.
General Hospital spoilers say Brook Lynn will keep defending Cody and could form a stronger bond with him, so stay tuned.
