General Hospital Recap: Wednesday, June 14 – Sasha’s Psychiatrist Meeting Shocker – No Surgery for Ned
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 14, reveals that Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston) had to bail on Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) poolside birthday party early to meet with a client.
After Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) showed up, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) laid it on a little too thick about family and pushed for a group picture.
Trina excused herself and headed to the restroom, so Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) talked to Stella about how important it was to go at Trina’s pace.
In a moment alone with Curtis, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) sought answers about where things really stood between them.
When Portia asked if there was hope to become a real family, Curtis assured her that there was.
Once Trina returned, she gave Curtis her gift in private.
Since Trina knew Curtis didn’t get all the usual childhood gifts, she gave him a picture frame that was decorated with dry pasta.
Curtis thought it was perfect and took a pic with Trina so he could put it in the frame later.
Meanwhile, Zeke was pleased after Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) reached out to him, but he didn’t have time for coffee and suggested lunch later instead.
Jordan had something she wanted to tell Zeke and seemed eager to meet up with him again for a more in-depth conversation.
At a Metro Court table, Zeke told Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) that he was on his way to the conference room to work out a plea deal.
Drew assured Zeke that he hadn’t changed his mind, but he still wanted him to hold off on finalizing anything just yet.
When Zeke looked over and spotted Jordan helping drunk Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews), he admitted he thought he saw his former brother-in-law.
In Taggert’s suite, Jordan stopped him from ordering more drinks through room service and said he had to drink water now.
Taggert opened up about not having a daughter anymore due to the DNA results, but Jordan argued that he was still Trina’s real family and the one who raised her.
Even so, Taggert cried over feeling such a deep sense of loss, especially since he always thought his daughter was the one thing he did right.
Once Jordan exited, she left Zeke a voicemail and said they needed to sort this out before he talked to his sister.
When Zeke reconvened with Portia, he mentioned that Taggert didn’t look well earlier and was glad that he had someone to help him.
At GH, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) felt there was no need for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to rush into terminating the guardianship, especially after almost having another episode on Home and Heart.
Sasha argued that she had been manipulated, but she pointed out that she stayed in control and praised Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) for saving the day.
When Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) appeared, they told Sasha and Gladys about Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) accident.
Sasha also mentioned her psychiatrist appointment to discuss ending her guardianship, but Gladys piped up that it wasn’t a done deal and was just the initial consultation.
Sam hoped Gladys wasn’t against Sasha taking control of her life, so Gladys insisted Sasha’s healing was always the goal.
Although Sasha felt like Gladys didn’t believe in her, Gladys said she was just concerned.
Sasha pushed Gladys to stop worrying and met with her psychiatrist alone, which Gladys wasn’t happy about.
Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder) quizzed Sasha about the tough losses she’d faced and asked how she’d characterize her relationship with her guardian.
Sasha admitted that she butted heads with Gladys sometimes, but she knew her mother-in-law always had her best interests at heart.
Dr. Montague urged Sasha to tell him more about the times that she’d butted heads with Gladys.
When Dr. Montague spoke with Gladys alone after the meeting, it became clear that they knew each other from poker nights.
Dr. Montague mentioned that he hadn’t seen Gladys at The Savoy in a while, so she hinted that Sasha wasn’t the only one trying to turn over a new leaf.
After Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up to see Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) at the hospital, Olivia asked her to stay as TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) delivered updates.
Ned was under twilight sedation due to the swelling in his brain, which would require surgery if it persisted.
In a moment alone with Carly, Olivia cried over the whole situation and expressed gratitude that Drew was there to save Ned. Carly said there wasn’t anyone that Drew wouldn’t help, which Olivia took the wrong way.
Olivia assumed Carly thought it was ironic that Drew saved Ned’s life since she believed Ned was trying to destroy Drew’s.
Carly denied that was what she meant, but Olivia only wanted people around who were rooting for Ned.
If Carly was going to judge Ned at a time like this, Olivia warned her to just leave since this was hard enough already.
Carly didn’t want to upset Olivia any further, so she left as Dante and Sam walked over.
Once Carly met up with Drew at the Metro Court, she filled him in on the misunderstanding with Olivia, but Drew knew Olivia just needed a place to vent right now.
Drew talked about finding dirt on Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who accused him of attacking Ned until the security footage cleared him.
Carly took credit for insisting on having the cameras installed and expressed relief that Drew’s innocence was proven.
After Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) got in touch about a potential offer to turn on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Carly made it clear that she wouldn’t go against someone she cared about to get out of this mess.
However, Drew felt there was no need for them both to put their freedom on the line.
“We both don’t have to go down for this…only one of us does,” Drew said to a stunned Carly.
Back at GH, TJ had much better news after Ned’s latest test results. Surgery wasn’t needed, so the plan was to bring Ned out of the anesthesia once the swelling reduced and his vitals were stable.
Olivia hoped that meant Ned would be OK, so TJ said they’d be able to assess Ned’s injuries once he woke up and was cautiously optimistic.
General Hospital spoilers say Ned’s amnesia could be the next problem, so stay tuned to see what else is in store.
