General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) could secretly be working with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Gray). The good doctor may not be as good as he claims-is he the one who put Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) on life support?
General Hospital Spoilers – Austin Gatlin-Holt’s Been Acting A Bit Squirrelly
Austin’s been acting a bit squirrelly lately when it’s come to “the family” and the job that Mason wants Ava Jerome (Maura West) to do. It seems rather strange that he’d be so insistent that Ava does what Mason demands when previously, he’s tried to keep Mason away.
Could Austin finally be showing his true colors, or is he really helping Ava by playing along with Mason-and was the life support Austin’s idea or Mason’s, or someone else’s?
When Austin and Ava went to the Quartermaine stables, when Detectives Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Bennett (Kendrick Cross) broke the lock, Austin was cool as a cucumber. Ava, not so much – but Austin almost seemed like he already knew Nikolas wasn’t in that closet and not too long afterward, Mason took credit.
GH Spoilers – Austin Gatlin-Holt Not Worried About The Trip To Chechnya
When Ava recently came to Austin freaking out after Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) will reading, worried Laura Collins (Genie Francis) would find Nikolas, Austin wasn’t worried. He was very sure she wouldn’t-until Mason showed up and made his blackmail request, saying he’d been out of town.
Perhaps Mason had moved Nikolas, now stable, to the Cassadine compound there, and “the family” is Cassadine-connected. Once Mason came back and made his demands, Austin seemed to change his tune-telling Ava if she didn’t comply she could get them both killed.
It sounds like even if Austin helped Mason save Nikolas’ life, not letting Ava in on the secret that he was on life support, Mason’s trip out of town changed things.
General Hospital Spoilers – What If Nikolas Cassadine Is Alive Off Life Support?
It seems like Austin’s sudden change regarding Ava not worrying that Laura would find Nikolas there happened when Mason returned from out of town. Perhaps Nikolas is alive and that threat of his revealing what Ava did is what Mason’s really holding over Ava and Austin’s head. Austin would be complicit because he knew, and it would be Mason and Nikolas’ word against his.
Even though Nikolas may not want to be found, there’s a chance he’s under Mason and the family’s thumb and whoever “the boss” is as well. When Austin gives a warning to Laura, it might be to save her life as well.
