Meri Brown of Sister Wives often lacked emotion, but in recent months, Meri has started to come out of her shell. It’s been difficult to empathize with Meri, especially when she played the victim with the Brown family. Now that she’s single, it looks like Meri is trying to grow.

Meri and Kody were married for 32 years but didn’t have the perfect polygamous marriage they had dreamed of. Almost immediately, Kody brought on a second wife. Instead of talking about her feelings with the patriarch, Meri chose to push them down and keep her promise in her commitment to Kody. As the Sister Wives seasons rolled on, it became apparent that Meri had issues with the entire family, which all came out in the latest season.

As the Sister Wives star prepared for another travel day, including a long drive, Meri revealed in an Instagram post that while on her journey, she saw a few teenage boys walking down the street enjoying life. Meri was a hard wife to like for ages because she often played the victim. Now, after announcing she was finally leaving Kody, she’s become more real. Meri has also helped boost her popularity by expressing her gratitude for her life. The Sister Wives star is the owner of Lizzie’s Heritage Inn; she works with LuLaRoe and also is still starring in the hit series. With Kody in her past, Meri can finally concentrate on things and people that truly bring her happiness.

Meri announced she was leaving Kody in December 2022 after years of dealing with a toxic marriage. Kody had already revealed that he was no longer in love with his first wife and wouldn’t have a problem if she decided to move on with a new man. After the New Year, news broke that she may not have been the kindest to Christine Brown’s children growing up, but Meri has yet to address the rumors. For now, the Sister Wives star is concentrating on moving forward positively every day.
