‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Update As Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) Wakes Up as Eddie Maine
‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveals that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) has woken from the twilight sleep induced by doctors. However, he doesn’t remember that he is Ned Quartermaine. He does not recognize his family and is convinced that he is Eddy Maine. Is there any healing in sight for Ned?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ned Takes a Spill
Many believed the Ned Quartermaine was the one who alerted the SEC about illegal trading by Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).
He had threatened that, so it was an easy assumption. However, Ned really was innocent. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) had called in the anonymous tip.
When Ned overheard Nina’s conversation with her lawyer about making the tip, he decided he really needed to let Drew know about it. He ran upstairs to the pool in the Metro Court Hotel. As he made his way across the room, he tripped on a towel and fell. He hit his head and fell into the pool.
Drew jumped into save him. He did CPR until the paramedics arrived. Ned has been under observation because of the hit he took to the head. Initially he was not conscious.
Then the doctors put him in a twilight sleep to allow for time for the swelling to go down. His family is beside themselves, hoping for his complete recovery.

W hen Ned comes out of the twilight sleep, he does not know who his family is. He thinks that he is Eddie Maine. Eddie Maine was actually Ned’s stage name back in the 1990s. He wanted to be a rock star and was living a double life to try to reach that goal.
While performing one evening he met a producer named Lois Cerullo (Rene Sofer). She recognized his talent and wanted to help him become a star. The two ended up getting married and having a child, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).
At the same time that he was a musician, he was trying to fulfil his role in the family business in Port Charles as well. He married Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans) as Ned Quartermaine.
Obviously when all of this came to light, it did not turn out well. It was hard for Ned to decide to give up his music, but he did. He has only appeared as “Eddie Maine” for the annual Nurses Ball. But everything is turned upside down. His brain is convinced that is who he is.
He doesn’t remember his family, how he was injured or why. People like Nina will be pleased to have Eddie around forever, but his family is hoping he’ll be healed.
