General Hospital Spoilers: Will Nathan West Make a Shocking Comeback – Maxie Hints at Return from the Grave?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) could use a real love interest again. Ever since Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) faced a grim fate, the show’s struggled to find a pairing that works for Maxie.

Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was a delusional monster, so Maxie obviously deserved far better than him.

Although Peter is thankfully in the grave where he belongs, we wouldn’t mind if Nathan made a miraculous comeback.

GH writers also tried pairing Maxie and Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) for a while, but the chemistry was never really there.

Austin and Maxie were awkward, so it was hard to root for their future as a couple – especially since Austin kept secrets.

Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) is a good man who adores Maxie, but the show doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to push them back together.

If Maxie and Spinelli aren’t going to reunite, then what’s next?

Since nothing seems to be sticking in the romance department, maybe it’s time to go back to a pairing that was popular in the past.

Maxie and Nath an certainly had plenty of fans, so a “Naxie” reunion would surely go over well.

Although Nathan West passed away at the hospital after Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) shot him, it’s easy to undo an outcome like that on a soap.

Nathan’s demise could’ve been faked for nefarious reasons, so maybe he’s been in captivity all this time thanks to a villain’s twisted plans.

Honestly, viewers will accept almost any explanation if it brings back a fan favorite and allows for a revived romance.

It’d be great if the show could get Ryan Paevey to make a comeback, but a Nathan West recast might work if they find the right actor.

Regardless, Maxie opened up about Nathan in the June 22 episode, so could the name-dropping mean something?

Although Maxie has moved on, she talked about how hard it was in the beginning. Part of Maxie will always love Nathan, so his return could change everything!

James West (Gary James Fuller) also deserves a chance to know his father – not to mention Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) needs a child on canvas.

It would be amazing for Liesl to reunite with a living Nathan now that she’s faced so much pain over losing Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
