General Hospital Spoilers: Nina & Dex’s Stalemate – Strike Secret Deal to Keep Sonny in the Dark?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) could grow increasingly suspicious of each other. Nina recently had a little chat with Dex at The Savoy and pointed out they’re both on the same team when it comes to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but they’re also keeping major secrets from him.
Dex and Nina have more in common than they realize, so the show may lean into that in the coming weeks.
Nina sought Dex’s help with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) in the June 23 episode since she thought maybe he could convince Joss to give her a chance.
Although Dex insisted Josslyn could decide for herself, he agreed to mull it over.
Dex also made it clear that as long as Nina was important to Sonny, then she’d fall under his protection.
That whole conversation felt like it was building to something between Nina and Dex – like perhaps a situation where they learn each other’s secrets.
Nina doesn’t want Sonny to know she’s behind the anonymous SEC tip that got Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in trouble with the law.
If Dex overhears the truth or finds out another way, he could hold Nina’s fate in his hands.
However, Dex is keeping a huge secret of his own since he started out as Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) plant in Sonny’s organization.
Even though Dex is no longer trying to take Sonny down, he’s still working for Michael behind Sonny’s back.
Sonny wouldn’t be pleased about any of that, so this could be a good opportunity for Nina to do some eavesdropping as well.
It’s easy to imagine a scenario where Nina learns the truth about Dex – perhaps right about the time he ends up with knowledge of Nina’s SEC snitching.
That could lead to a secret stalemate if Dex and Nina agree to keep quiet about what they know.
Of course, deepening their deception could make Nina and Dex’s betrayals worse once their secrets come out anyway, but they might strike a deal and at least try to keep Sonny in the dark.
Whatever the case, there was an interesting vibe to Dex and Nina’s recent scenes together.
It seemed like GH writers could be foreshadowing a sneaky arrangement between them, so Nina and Dex may make a pact of silence down the road.
