General Hospital is one of the most popular soaps on air! And there is a reason for it’s massive popularity, it’s unpredictability! Right when Spencer and Trina started to settle down in their newly formed relationship, GH is about to throw a monkey wrench at them in the most unexpected manner! Some of the recently aired episodes showed supposed rivals, Spencer and Esme, exchange some genuine smiles at each other. It was an eerie reminder of their shared history in the past. But it also teased another possibility, that of history repeating itself! Does that mean we are about to see a Spencer-Esme romantic reboot?
Esme Manages To Reel Spencer Back In Old Romance
Sure, Esme is amnesiac and all, but she is STILL Esme! And that goes on to say a lot on General Hospital. While she clearly doesn’t remember all the devious stunts she pulled in the past, but she might not have lost her “touch” entirely. Long-time viewers of the ABC soap would remember how she wooed and seduced Spencer during their boarding school days. However, she did all of that on her father, Ryan’s, command. Cut to present, Esme might be spinning a similar web for Spencer all over again!
By now, Esme has realized that she can’t one-up Spencer by force on General Hospital. Thus, the only way to make peace with him might be with love. And she may just take the word ” love” too seriously this time around. In the recent episodes, Esme reflected that not all her feelings towards Spencer could have been fake. There must have been some truth in them. Perhaps she might be right! Esme and Spencer are both flawed in many ways. That was probably why they seemed so compatible to begin with!
Moreover, with Esme putting her softer side forth to Spencer, she might actually end up reigniting his old sparks for her. Well. you know the classic “I hate you-I love you” routine! In fact, General Hospital might already be laying the groundwork for it! Recently, Esme and Spencer have exchanged some civil glances and genuine smiles at each other. Spencer even mulled over how Esme preferred the recycled snow-globe as a gift over the expensive jewelry. If this keeps up, we are sure to see a Spencer-Esme romance all over again!
Spencer Breaks Trina’s Heart, Elopes With Esme On General Hospital
If Spencer and Esme do reunite, what would it mean for Trina on General Hospital? She has already expressed her concerns to Joss that she is unsure about her relationship with Spencer if Esme and Ace continue to interfere in their romance. Could this be a hint at what’s to come ahead in their story? Spencer seems to have prioritized Ace
above everything and everyone else. Hence, if Spencer starts warming up to Esme, he might start to see a possibility of an actual family life with her and Ace. Which let’s face it, isn’t possible with Trina and Ace, and well Esme! So if Spencer wants a happy family, one of the ladies gotta go!
And as of now, all signs are pointing towards Spencer choosing Esme and Ace over Trina on General Hospital. If that happens, there is a bleak chance that Spencer and Esme will be able to start a family right there in Port Charles, amidst glaring eyes, judging their every move. Hence, it seems like we are about to see Spencer and Esme skip town with Ace in tow. This would in fact serve well for Spencer’s portrayer Nicholas Chavez’s time away from the soap!
