General Hospital Spoilers: Baby Ace’s Real Father Revealed – Paternity Truth Changes Everything
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a stunning secret may come to light down the road. Everyone on canvas is assuming that Nikolas Cassadine (last played by Adam Huss) is the father of Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) baby, but it’s never a good idea to make assumptions in situations like this.
Without a DNA test to prove Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) is Nikolas’ biological son, there’s always going to be room for doubt.
That may be exactly what the writers have in mind since it opens the door to a shocking revelation when the time is right.
Will Ace’s real father ultimately be revealed? The paternity truth could change everything if Ace doesn’t belong to Nikolas after all.
When Esme first woke up in the hospital with amnesia, she had no idea who her baby’s father was.
Esme doesn’t remember her past, so she doesn’t remember any lies she’s told either.
Esme may have deceived Nikolas as part of her plan to carry out Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) mission.
Having Nikolas’ baby would’ve seemed like a surefire way to destroy Nikolas and Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) relationship forever.
Ace’s bio dad could actually be someone else, so we should consider a few possibilities. For starters, there’s a chance the father of Esme’s baby is someone that fans haven’t met yet.
It’d be an interesting way to introduce a new character if some random guy shows up and claims his child.
Esme might be thrown for a loop if her true “baby daddy” suddenly enters the picture and proves his story with paternity evidence.
Of course, it’s also possible the show could rewrite history and make Spencer the father after all. That wouldn’t line up with what fans saw onscreen, but stranger things have happened for the sake of a twist.
If GH writers took that rewrite route, Spencer would have rights as Ace’s bio dad – and his relationship with Trina would suddenly get a lot more complicated!
However, it’d perhaps be better if Ace turned out not to be a Cassadine at all.
If Ace’s father isn’t related to the Cassadine family and happens to be someone we already know, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) would make an excellent option.
If Dex secretly slept with Esme and has been hiding it all this time, it could ruin his romance with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
That could be why Dex has been willing to stay quiet and just let everyone assume this baby belongs to Nikolas.
Naturally, there could be some scenario down the line that forces a big reveal. If Dex is Ace’s bio dad instead, that news could become a wrecking ball for his relationship with Josslyn.
