General Hospital Spoilers: Gladys’ Exit Story Underway – GH’s Cruelest Character Must Go?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has become the show’s cruelest character with her latest storyline. Intentionally causing Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) more mental health issues is a new low – even for someone as selfish and awful as Gladys!
Sasha is someone who Gladys claims to care about, but her actions have done nothing to prove that.
Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) would be ashamed of his mother if he was still around to witness what Gladys has been up to with Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder).
Of course, Dr. Montague is awful as well for prescribing something that would send an innocent patient off the rails.
However, we’d argue that Gladys is even worse since she’s literally the person Sasha’s supposed to trust most in this world as her legal guardian.
It was bad enough when Gladys started using Sasha’s assets and dipping into her daughter-in-law’s funds to cover her own gambling debts.
The fact that Gladys is now actively trying to derail Sasha’s mental state has seemingly taken her character past the point of no return.
It was both heartbreaking and infuriating to watch Gladys ask Sasha if she was keeping up with her meds in the July 19 episode.
Gladys knew exactly what she was doing when she pushed Sasha to pop a pill right before a major interview to get her side of the story out there.
It’s Gladys’ fault that Sasha even shoplifted in the first place, but then she tried to ruin Sasha’s damage control!
Things went from bad to worse when Sasha hallucinated Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and wounded Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) in her confusion.
Sasha may need to spend some time in a mental health facility recovering due to Mattsson’s real-life maternity leave.
Getting Sasha away from sick and twisted Gladys is surely the best thing for her.
Naturally, we have to wonder how Gladys can possibly come back from all this.
It feels like Gladys’ exit story may be underway – and that exit can’t come fast enough as far as many GH fans are concerned.
The show’s created a situation where Gladys needs a major downfall, so we can only hope she’ll get run out of town, land in jail or even face a grim fate.
It’s tough to care what happens to Gladys as long as she finally leaves Sasha alone!
