General Hospital Spoilers: Esme’s Bio Mom Rewrite – Heather Not Mother After All in Shocking Twist?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the writers have a chance at a major story twist if they’re willing to take advantage of it. Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) supposedly had two psychopaths for bio parents, but what if that’s not actually the case?
It’s not like there’s hard evidence that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) is Esme’s biological mother.
Can Heather’s story really be trusted considering all her mental issues?
It’s possible Heather was just obsessed with the idea of having Ryan Chamberlain’s (Jon Lindstrom) daughter.
What if Heather actually stole Esme as a baby and just convinced herself that she gave birth to her?
Of course, Heather might’ve quickly realized the work that would go into caring for a newborn and bailed on raising Esme.
That would still fit with Heather’s talk about the sacrifice she made to give Esme a better life.
In other words, when Heather gave Esme up for adoption, perhaps Esme wasn’t really her baby to give up!
With Ryan gone and Heather as crazy as ever, Esme doesn’t have a strong parent she can lean on.
A bio mom rewrite could change that – at least if Esme’s real mother is someone sane and loving.
Back when this storyline started, the show dropped some serious hints that Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) was Esme’s bio mom.
GH writers eventually pivoted away from that, which might’ve happened because of Mac Scorpio (John J. York) getting a long-lost child of his own through Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
Maybe they thought it would’ve been a bit much for Mac AND Felicia to have long-lost children stories at the same time.
However, fans have known about Mac being Cody’s son for a while now. Mac doesn’t know the truth yet, but the point is that viewers have accepted this info and moved on.
There’s really no reason why the show can’t shake things up with another rewrite now.
Could there ultimately be some wild explanation that makes Felicia the biological mother of Esme after all?
Since that was almost certainly the original plan, it might be interesting if the writers cook up some way to return to it.
Then again, it’s also possible Esme’s bio mom could be someone else entirely.
Regardless, Heather isn’t exactly a reliable source of information, so no one can trust that the story she’s sold Esme is the real deal!
