Port Charles has been bitten hard with the amnesia bug this season on General Hospital. At one hand, Esme Prince has completely forgotten her past evil teen life. On the other hand, Ned Quartermaine has forgotten his whole life as Ned and has drifted back to his rock star days as Eddie Maine. While, Esme’s amnesia has served her well with at least staying out of prison. Ned’s however, is costing him his family life. But the latest spoilers tease that all of that could soon change! Olivia has suddenly started to see Ned’s Eddie in a different light! Could that lead to a new lease of renewed romance between them? Let’s find out!
Olivia Quartermaine Has A Change of Heart
The world turned upside down for Ned’s family when he slipped at The Metro Court pool on General Hospital and sustained a massive head injury. Consequently, when he woke up, he had lost his memory. Additionally, he also drifted back to his old rock star persona from year gone by, Eddie Maine. Initially, his wife, Olivia Quartermaine, was devastated at his condition. She hoped against hope that Ned would just go back to being Ned at the earliest. Alas! that didn’t happen. At least not yet.
Thus, eventually, Olivia’s devastation started to turn into frustration on General Hospital. So much so, that she started to lash out at Ned/Eddie on a regular basis. To such a point that it started to feel like their marriage won’t sustain this bomb. However, in one of the recent episodes, Olivia had a wild night in town alongside Ned and Carly, that eventually landed them at the police station. And that might soon prove to be a turning point in their current dynamic. The latest spoilers tease that Olivia will now begin to see Eddie in an all new light! Moreover, she might even develop a taste for what she’s seeing!
Is Olivia About To Fall In Love With Ned’s Alter Ego On General Hospital?
In the upcoming episodes of General Hospital, viewers can expect to see Ned catching Olivia completely off guard! Ned in his Eddie persona will perform an original number dedicated to Olivia, and that might end up going a long way in softening her towards her husband’s alter ego! In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, actress, Lisa LoCicero, shed some light on what’s to come next! Lisa expressed that Olivia will suddenly see an all new shade in Ned/Eddie. When she sees him perform his musical number, she will realize just how lost and confused he is with his current reality.
For the first time, Olivia will actually see how much he is struggling and suffering in his circumstances on General Hospital. That’s when she will grasp how utterly helpless he feels. Moreover, she too, will find herself in a position where she doesn’t know how to help him. She will feel connected to him. Until now, she had been fighting too hard to bring the old Ned back. But perhaps, that’s where she was wrong. Ned/ Eddie’s song will make her have that profound realization. She will look at Eddie as a real person and not just some deformed version of Ned. Furthermore, she might finally take the right route ahead by trying to connect to Eddie and standing by his side without putting up a fight.
