General Hospital Update: Wednesday, August 23 – Fierce Threats, Scary Situations and Forced Alliances
General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 23, indicates that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will grow increasingly fearful about Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) safety. Drew’s decision to step up for Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) makes him seem like he’s part of Cyrus’ flock and could make him a target.
Meanwhile, Cyrus will insist it’s nice to see Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) again, but Austin will want Cyrus to save the pleasantries. Instead, Austin will want to deliver the flash drive that he was ordered to bring and hopefully put an end to his involvement.
Although Austin will feel like his debt is more than covered by now, Cyrus will have no intention of granting Austin’s freedom. There’s a good chance Cyrus will toss some veiled threats around and let Austin know it’s not over until he says so.
Next on Wednesday’s GH episode, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have another meeting with Ava Jerome (Maura West) and throw some questions at her.
Ava will be expected to do her part to help Sonny on the Austin side of things since they’re all stuck in this mess together now.
Dex has been gathering Austin intel for Sonny and could potentially report back about Austin’s meeting with Cyrus. Of course, Austin can act like he was simply at Pentonville to serve as Cyrus’ physician, but Sonny may have a hunch there’s more to the story.
In the meantime, it seems Dex will visit “Book” (Brad Schmidt) and give him a message that Sonny said to pass along.
Since “Book” has decided to become so problematic to Drew behind bars, Sonny may have Dex deliver a serious warning about what’ll happen if “Book” doesn’t stand down.
At the Metro Court pool, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will put their heads together.
Once Anna hints about there no longer being a conflict of interest, she’ll use Jordan as a sounding board and fret over this whole situation with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Part of Anna wants to trust Valentin despite his deception, but another part of her knows she has to keep an open mind when it comes to the possibility of his betrayal.
At Ferncliff, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) will blast Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) for pumping Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) so full of drugs that she can’t even make sense of reality anymore.
Sasha will be an emotional wreck when Gladys finds her, so she’ll rip into Dr. Montague and ultimately push him to put a stop to this nightmare. Dr. Montague will agree to drop this twisted plan, but he’ll want Gladys to pay up first.
Gladys will find herself backed into a blackmail corner, so she’ll have to hand over plenty of money to Dr. Montague or find another way out of this jam. Sasha’s well-being depends on it!
Over with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), she’ll feel enthusiastic about a new path forward. Felicia mentioned the idea of pitching in at the police station, but Mac Scorpio (John J. York) thought maybe the hospital was a better plan.
Felicia might even come up with some other way to serve the community, but she’ll definitely move forward with something that’ll leave her feeling fulfilled. It sounds like Felicia will have some good news to deliver soon.
Across town, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will lean on Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), who’ll offer some encouragement when it comes to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and all the drama her family’s dealing with.
General Hospital spoilers say Trina will deliver updates on everything she’s up against and get Spencer’s comfort, so stay tuned. CDL will have other exciting General Hospital spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so drop by frequently for more GH details.
