Blue Bloods actor Donnie Wahlberg shared a peek at his life as a loyal “dog dad,” celebrating what he called “#ShihTzunday” on Aug. 27, as one of his dogs, a Shih Tzu named Gucci, showered him with love.
The 54-year-old shared a video of Gucci sitting on top of him and giving him plenty of kisses, with the text, “It’s her world. Obviously,” overlaying the clip. In the background, he added a short audio snippet of a piano arrangement of the song “Barbie Girl.”
Wahlberg captioned the short video, “Happy #ShihTzunday from me and this little cutie! Yeah, she kind of runs things. 😉😘❤️🙏🏼😂🐾🐶.” He also shared the hashtags, “#dogdad #shihtzulovers #shihtzu #Guccini #barbie #barbiegirl,” while tagging his wife, Jenny McCarthy, in the video.

McCarthy lovingly replied, “Guccinni ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” while many fans really related to Wahlberg’s experience and said so in the comments.
“My husband goes through the same thing here ❤️,” said one, along with another who wrote, “They are such sweet, attentive, devoted dogs❤️❤️.”
A different fan joked, “I don’t think she likes you😂😂😂.”
“What an adorable video! Loving the pink bow & adorable 🥰 dog 🐶,” read an earlier comment, with quite a few more people talking about their love of dogs, and Shih Tzus in particular.

Along with Gucci, Wahlberg and McCarthy have another Shih Tzu named Lady, and the couple obviously loves them a lot. Earlier this year, the New Kids on the Block member showed off his “two little angels” in a selfie he took outside. Wahlberg and McCarthy have had many different dogs over the years, often adding more to the brood.
On top of their furry animals, Wahlberg has two sons, Xavier and Elijah, whom he shares with his first wife, Kimberly Fey, while McCarthy has one son named Evan, whom she shares with actor John Asher. The two were married from 1999 to 2005.
