General Hospital Update: Tuesday, September 5 – Sonny’s Tense Interrogation, Urgent SOS Call and Suspicions Swirl
General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, September 5, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will stay tight-lipped as he faces an FBI interrogation about Pikeman and the business he’s been doing with them.
However, Sonny will be smart about this and refuse to answer any questions without his attorney present.
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will receive an urgent SOS call, so she’ll rush right over and immediately go into hotshot lawyer mode.
In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen, she’ll push Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to be honest about whether he might’ve kept a copy of the incriminating evidence against Sonny and used it against his father.
GH spoilers say Michael will assure Carly that he didn’t before Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) swears that he’s innocent as well.
It’ll be Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) who falls under suspicion soon after, but she’ll be dealing with a hangover from post-concert drinking and will promise she didn’t do anything to sink Sonny.
Across town, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will get updates on Sonny’s legal predicament and fret to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about his dad potentially doing serious prison time.
At Pentonville, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will pat himself on the back over Sonny’s downfall and will mess with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) by suggesting he’s no longer being kept safe by Sonny – not when Sonny’s facing a legal mess of his own.
Cyrus may urge Drew to become a member of his flock while he still can, but Drew may insist he’ll take his chances flying solo!
Of course, this whole situation seems suspicious since Sonny previously said he wouldn’t do any more business with Pikeman unless they proved who was behind the warehouse drama.
It’s possible Sonny is going to great lengths to make Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss think that he’s got the upper hand! This could be a risky, elaborate charade, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Regardless, Ava Jerome (Maura West) may flip out over Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) father getting arrested.
Between that and Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) missing body, Ava will have some good reasons to push Mason for urgent news.
As for Nikolas, he may be sick of hiding out at Austin’s house. Austin will have some questions for Nikolas about his goals and may advise against doing anything too hasty.
Nikolas could land behind bars for holding Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) hostage if he shows his face in Port Charles.
Revealing himself too soon could also anger Cyrus, so Austin may offer Nikolas a warning about that, too.
Austin might also worry about Nikolas potentially going after revenge on Ava, so he may try to protect her since he really does seem to care despite all the lies.
General Hospital spoilers say Nikolas’ return will throw several characters for a loop down the road, so stay tuned.
