General Hospital Spoilers: Lulu’s Awakening Brings Sam’s Breakup – Can’t Compete with Dante’s True Love?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) perfect little romantic bubble could burst soon. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) took Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) for a visit with comatose Lulu Spencer (last played by Emme Rylan) in GH’s July 28 episode, so that could be a sign that she’ll wake up in the not-too-distant future.

Charlotte delivered a heartfelt plea to her mom, so it’s only a matter of time until Lulu does what her daughter requested and comes back to her. Lulu’s awakening could be a game-changer, especially for Sam and Dante’s romance.

Dante is crazy about Sam and has built something he feels is quite special with her, but Lulu may always be his true love.

No matter how much Dante acts like Lulu’s return won’t change anything, it definitely will.

Of course, Dante may dig his heels in with Sam and insist he’s focused on their future, not his past with Lulu.

If Dante isn’t already engaged to Sam by then, he might pop the question just to ease Sam’s mind and prove she’s the one he wants.

However, Dante may find himself longing for Lulu deep down.

During Dante’s latest visit to Lulu, he admitted he missed her and seemed quite broken up about the state she’s still in.

Once Lulu’s awake, Sam may slowly sense Dante pulling away from her.

It could leave Sam feeling like she’s holding Dante back from the life he wants to reclaim with Lulu.

Will Sam ultimately break up with Dante and step aside for his long-awaited Lulu reunion?

Will Sam determine that she can’t compete with Dante’s true love and decide she doesn’t even want to try?

Sam went through a similar situation when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned and it was revealed that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was his memory-mapped twin.

Although Sam tried to make things work with Drew after the real Jason’s comeback, their relationship was never the same.

Sam may find herself thinking about that and realizing she’s the Drew in Dante’s scenario.

Perhaps Sam will bow out and push Dante to get back together with Lulu in the end.
