General Hospital Spoilers: Nanny Maggie’s Return Jogs Esme’s Memory – Past Comes Rushing Back?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) feels disconnected from the past that everyone wants to blame her for. It’s hard for Esme to wrap her head around the old version of herself, but she’s trying to learn more now that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has ripped into her.
Alexis made it clear that Esme’s past happened whether she recalls it or not. Furthermore, Esme has done nothing to warrant any kind of trust when it comes to the new version of herself that she likes to talk about.
It seems like Alexis got through to Esme on some level since Pentonville was her next stop. It was perhaps Esme’s first step toward uncovering her twisted history.
Esme recently paid Heather Webber (Alley Mills) a visit, but she didn’t like the outcome.
That only brought Heather’s insistence that they were just alike and a cryptic hint about Esme potentially causing her adoptive parents’ fatal “accident.”
However, a visit with someone else could be a game-changer for Esme. Maybe the key to unlocking Esme’s memories is bringing back the only person from her past that she ever truly cared about.
GH fans will recall that Esme had a nanny named Maggie Fitzgerald (Heather Olt), who Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) previously tracked down in Devon, England.
Maggie was spooked at the time about Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) and the possibility that he might come after her, but Ryan obviously isn’t a threat anymore.
If Esme tracks Maggie down, she might convince her to come to Port Charles for a visit now.
Esme may hope that Maggie can provide answers about who she used to be and details on what happened to her adoptive parents.
Of course, Maggie might be able to do even better than that. Could seeing a familiar face from her past and hearing old stories jog Esme’s memory?
It’d be interesting if Maggie was the reason why Esme experienced total recall – for better or for worse!
