General Hospital Spoilers: Kristina’s Car Accident Changes Everything – Regrets Turning Down Sonny’s Offer?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) made a decision in the August 1 episode that she may end up regretting. Since Kristina has been having some car trouble, Sonny pulled her aside and admitted he wasn’t comfortable with her having an unreliable vehicle.

Sonny insisted he’d buy Kristina a new car, but she felt like he was doing enough by helping with the youth center.

Since that was more important to Kristina anyway, she refused to let Sonny buy the new car like he wanted.

Did all of that car trouble foreshadow something terrible happening somewhere down the line? Will Kristina eventually have a car accident and regret turning down Sonny’s offer?

There are a couple of ways a car accident might play a role in the storyline. For starters, there’s this whole surrogacy thing.

Although Molly Lansing-Davis (Brooke Anne Smith) and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) decided against using Kristina as a surrogate, there’s a good chance they’re going to change their minds about that.

GH writers have spent far too long setting up Kristina as a surrogacy option to just forget about it.

Besides, it makes a lot more sense for drama’s sake if Kristina carries the baby instead of some random stranger that fans don’t know.

Assuming Kristina ends up being the surrogate after all, that means she’ll be carrying precious cargo.

If Kristina is involved in a car crash due to her problematic vehicle, she could lose the baby and perhaps get blamed for it by Molly.

There’s the potential for more sister issues if something like that goes down.

Of course, the show’s also been playing up the bond between Kristina and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) lately.

Kristina rushed to Nina’s defense during her conversation with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Then, Kristina learned Nina was bragging about her to Trish (Trish Ramish) the hostess and seemed moved over Sonny’s fiancée being so impressed by the work she was doing.

Now that the show’s highlighting Nina and Kristina’s relationship, there’s a chance they could land in Kristina’s car together sooner or later.

Maybe Nina could get seriously injured and wind up in a fight to survive – perhaps right around the time her role in the SEC mess comes out. It could give Sonny a reason to forgive Nina if he almost loses her.

Bottom line, Kristina’s car trouble and refusal to do anything about it may be significant. Will that become a big part of setting up some future drama?
