Sister Wives season 18 is coming soon and in a newly released clip, Kody Brown’s ex-wife Christine Brown is finally sharing why she decided to leave. Sister Wives has been more dramatic than ever as it’s documented the breakdown of the family. Christine was the first to leave Kody back in 2021, but in 2022 both Janelle Brown and Meri Brown followed suit, leaving their marriages with Kody and leaving him with Robyn Brown as his only wife. Though Kody may be pursuing other women to reassemble his plural family, the upcoming Sister Wives season 18 will shed more light on the dissolution of his marriages with Janelle and Meri.

In a new Sister Wives preview shared on Instagram, Christine is heard explaining exactly why she decided it was finally time to leave Kody. “I left Kody,” Christine said, her voice filled with emotion, “because I could see he had favorites.” The clip is intercut with Christine speaking directly to the camera and Kody being shown rubbing Robyn’s back in a private moment.

Sister Wives viewers have long been aware that Kody plays favorites with his wives, even though he denies it consistently when asked. Since Robyn joined the plural marriage in 2010, she has clearly been Kody’s favorite of all his wives, getting more quality time than the others.

Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown Accuses Kody Of Manipulation

While Christine revealed her truth, the rest of Kody’s ex-wives were just as open. “I’ve heard him refer to us as friends,” Meri explained, clearly speaking about Kody calling herself, Janelle, and Christine his friends rather than his wives. Janelle and Kody were also shown in the preview having an explosive argument, which is out of character for Janelle. “I think you’re manipulating,”

Janelle said, a finger pointed at Kody who immediately got up to leave the conversation. Though she asked him to stay and talk it out, when Kody slammed the door she shouted a, “f*** you,” at him before asking for the cameras to be turned off.

As Sister Wives season 18 gets closer, more information about the premiere will be coming out in full-force. With Christine in a new relationship, Janelle living her best life away from Kody, and Meri focusing on herself and her businesses, it’s clear that the ex-wives are thriving outside their marriages. While Kody and Robyn decide whether they’ll try to seek out another wife to continue their plural marriage, seeing the breakdown of Kody’s marriages on screen will be interesting for viewers who have already seen the after-effects. Some of the dynamics viewers have always known were at play may finally be brought to light on Sister Wives season 18.

While Christine’s split with Kody has been covered in some capacity on Sister Wives, the splits with Janelle and Meri have yet to be addressed. Seeing the way the women each react to Kody’s hostility and decide to move on will be empowering and interesting all at once. Watching Janelle and Meri finally stand up for themselves will be cathartic for viewers. With Sister Wives returning for another installment, this season will surely be tremendously different from years past.
