General Hospital spoilers: The week of May 8th brings fallout from Victor’s failed plan!
General Hospital spoilers for the week of May 8th reveal Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) plan has failed. However, the fallout is just getting started. There will be a search ahead for survivors, while those back in Port Charles wait for word. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital spoilers: Search ahead
First, General Hospital spoilers reveal the WSB found out about Victor’s plan, thanks to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). In the interest of the greater good, they decided to bomb the island to prevent the pathogen from being unleashed. At the last minute, they changed the target to the Haunted Star, where Victor was trying to escape. What Victor (and others) weren’t planning on is, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) went back to stop his uncle.
Now, we’ll see Spencer react to the attack heading their way. Which will lead to a lot of questions for those on that island and in Port Charles. Laura Collins (Genie Francis), for example, will be horrified by the sight of the attack. Later, they’ll get word there was a body found. Most fans agree it won’t be Spencer’s, and we’re inclined to agree with that as well. Spencer’s been getting a lot of screen time lately and they just started a romance with him and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). So we just don’t see them cutting that short. The body found will likely be Victor’s, or one of the men working for him. But that doesn’t mean the writers are going to tease the worst.
General Hospital spoilers: Hope
As for those waiting for word, Trina doesn’t seem likely to give up hope that Spencer is okay. In fact, she’s quite insistent in the promo when she says she can feel he’s out there somewhere. Likely, we’re going to have a situation where Spencer will be missing for a bit. Trina will likely want to stay in Greenland to wait for word, and/or help with the search for survivors. We’re sure that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will love it if that’s the case, but we see her possibly keeping silent to avoid getting Trina angry with her again. But we’ll see. It’s just as likely she’ll be desperate to get Trina back home. When Spencer is found, we think that won’t be the end of it, because he’ll likely be seriously hurt and Trina will be there to help him through his recovery.
General Hospital spoilers: Regrets?
Finally, General Hospital spoilers reveal Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) might be feeling bad about telling Spencer to just disappear at the Nurses Ball. In the promo, she sounds concerned for Spencer, and some fans aren’t liking it. We’ve seen multiple comments calling her a hypocrite, and we can’t exactly say they’re wrong. We do, however, think the possibility Spencer’s gone changing Joss’ thinking. And it could lead to her apologizing to Spencer when he’s found. Of course, we’ll see how long she sticks with that, should he do something she doesn’t approve of.
