Sister Wives- Does Robyn Brown Miss Lording It Over The Other Wives? (Here’s Why She Might)
Robyn Brown has spoken of her disappointment her sister wives chose to leave Kody. Still, she created division when the women were in the family.
- Robyn Brown’s heartbreak over the other sister wives leaving is likely because she can no longer dominate and manipulate them like she used to.
- Robyn enjoyed being Kody’s favorite wife and used her position to her advantage, causing strain in the relationships with the other wives.
- While Robyn claims to be sad about the changes in the family, her desire for the other wives to be present for Christmas may be more about flaunting her control over Kody than genuine concern.
Being unable to dominate her Sister Wives co-stars is probably why Robyn Brown is heartbroken about their breakup with Kody. When Robyn came into the Brown family in 2014, she was Kody Brown’s fourth wife behind Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown. Before Kody could marry her, he had to legally divorce his first wife, Meri, although they remained spiritually married. However, in hindsight, that decision was a premonition of what would happen in the family.
After joining the family, Robyn became Kody’s favorite wife, and his devotion to her gradually broke his relationship with the other wives. Robyn also took advantage of being the favorite and always manipulated things to her advantage. Christine was the first wife to leave before Janelle and Meri made the same decision. However, while Robyn has recently spoken of her sadness due to the exit of the other wives, it is probably due to the drama she can’t cause anymore.
Robyn’s Used To Butting Heads With The Other Wives (Will She Get Bored With Just Kody?)
Before joining the Brown family, Robyn spoke of her preference for polygamous marriage since she also grew up in a polygamous family. However, when Robyn joined the show, it was apparent that her love for polygamy was for its benefits and drama. Being the new wife, Robyn quickly became Kody’s favorite which meant she had his ears, and she would always use that to her advantage to the detriment of the other wives.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Robyn ensured she got Kody all to herself, which made the patriarch neglect his other wives and kids. Robyn loved being Kody’s crown jewel and flaunting it at the other wives. However, since the other wives left the family, Robyn has been in a monogamous marriage with Kody with nobody to lord over. However, while having Kody to herself might’ve been Robyn’s ultimate goal, not having the other wives around indeed bores her, going so far as to describe their marriage as “hell

During the Sister Wives season 18 premiere, Robyn spoke about the changes in the Brown family since Meri, Janelle, and Christine all left. One aspect Robyn complained about was the traditions in the Brown family which were being abandoned due to the divorces. Robyn found it particularly challenging to accept that they planned to celebrate the 2022 Christian holiday separately. In the episode, Robyn noted, “It’s just like this whole new worry and heartbreak and stress about whether or not we’ll not be together for Christmas, but it’s still horrible to sit and think about.”
However, while it looks like Robyn genuinely felt heartbroken by the new reality, she didn’t find it challenging to have Kody to herself during the COVID-19 pandemic. The holiday periods had always served as an avenue for Robyn to flaunt her grip on Kody. However, with the other wives out of the picture, Robyn’s request to have them present for Christmas might be to show off being Kody’s favorite one more time.
Is Robyn Missing Her “Puppetmaster” Role Already?
The collapse of the Browns’ polygamous identity was the central theme of the Sister Wives season 18 premiere episode. Robyn spoke of the difficulties of accepting the new reality and the newfound tension between the families. However, Robyn didn’t seem concerned about the tension within the family when all the wives were still together. Instead, she was the one who created more tension by constantly manipulating Kody and straining his relationship with the other wives. Still, Robyn’s concerns and sadness at the demise of the polygamous marriage might be genuine. However, her reputation and past behavior on Sister Wives indicate she only misses being in control of the Brown family.
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
