General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one GH star recently decided to set the record straight about her status on the show. Laura Wright (Carly Spencer) landed at the center of some exit buzz on social media, so she ultimately spoke out and let fans know whether Carly’s really leaving Port Charles.
Fortunately, the answer is no! Wright will remain in the role of Carly Spencer and has no plans to head for the exit door according to her post on X, the social media platform formally known as Twitter.
“Not sure how these crazy rumors get started but heck no I’m not going anywhere,” Laura Wright said. “I’ll stay as long as you guys will have me. !!! #CarlysWorld!!! @GeneralHospital #GHBaby”
That’s great news for Carly fans, especially since her feud with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is about to reignite and deliver some excellent drama.
GH fans know Nina is the one who revealed Carly and Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) insider trading guilt to the SEC with a little help from Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).
Carly’s on the verge of finding that out since Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has an SEC contact who’s eventually going to supply some crucial information.
It looks like Michael’s contact will expose Nina as the snitch during the week of October 9-13, which is also when Nina and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are set to have their wedding day.
General Hospital spoilers hint that Michael will blow up the marriage ceremony and unleash Nina’s big secret, so it won’t be long until Carly gets updates on Nina’s role in Drew’s suffering.
Of course, Drew and Carly are the ones who actually committed a crime, but Nina will still pay the price for blabbing to the SEC and making sure they faced legal consequences.
Carly will be furious with Nina once the truth comes out, so you can bet she’ll have a chance to rip into her along with Michael, Sonny and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).
It’s good to know Carly isn’t going anywhere and will be around to play the fallout as well as any new developments that might be coming down the road.
There are definitely some “CarSon” fans who are holding onto hope for a reunion, so we’ll see what happens once Nina and Sonny’s romance falls apart!
