Michael is currently rumored to be in negotiations to return to NCIS after departing the show in 2016. The news of his return was first reported by RadarOnline so take that for what it’s worth. They claim that Michael has a few demands that the network isn’t sure they want to meet.

For starters, the outlet has reported that Michael wants to bring along Cote de Pablo who portrayed Ziva David, his love interest on the series, as part of his return deal. Plus, he wants Robert Wagner back too. Wagner starred as his character’s father.

A source told the outlet, “Michael loves to stir things up and get fans excited about his comeback, but he’s doing himself no favors by being so demanding. The bosses are tearing their hair out over their terms.”

With a writers strike now in the mix, Weatherly’s return to the NCIS universe seems like something of a pipe dream.
