Ysabel Brown celebrated her 20th birthday in style, surrounded by her friends and family. However, Kody Brown was nowhere to be seen in her photos.
Sister Wives star Ysabel Brown, the daughter of Kody and Christine Brown, just celebrated her 20th birthday in style, but her father didn’t attend the festivities. Ysabel has been a fan-favorite due to her likable personality. She is the spitting image of Christine, and always presented a happy demeanor even when her father was absent.
Ysabel has always been a joy to watch on Sister Wives, mainly because she always bought a positive attitude to the Brown family turmoil. For years, Ysabel struggled with a severe case of scoliosis, and in 2020, she was forced to have back surgery. Sadly, Kody chose not to attend the procedure, which was done in New Jersey, leaving Ysabel only with her mother for support. Since his decision, their father-daughter relationship has taken a hit, with hardly any of Kody’s older children choosing to speak to him.

Ysabel took to social media to post a few snaps from her special day. Included in her photos were her sisters, Mykleti, Aspyn, Gwen, and Truely Brown. She also showcased her bond with Christine, as she smiled for a special photo. Not surprisingly, Kody wasn’t pictured at all, and was most likely not invited to the Utah-based party. Ysabel has been on Christine’s side during the divorce, with the mother of six often posting about her close relationship with her children in an attempt to rile up Kody.
Does Ysabel Speak With Kody?
During the latest season of Sister Wives, Ysabel was asked during her confessional how she was getting along with her father, especially since her parents were going through their divorce. The college student noted that their relationship was “fine,” but that she was closer to Christine. Ysabel joked that she was going to miss her mother more than Kody when she headed off to school in North Carolina, noting she didn’t “think” they were close at all.
Ysabel has been spending a lot of time with her sisters and mother lately. Christine is preparing for her upcoming summer wedding to David Woolley. The Sister Wives star is making sure to include her daughters in all of her planning, as they will most likely be her maids of honor. Ysabel hasn’t spoken out about her relationship with David just yet, but the odds are good that she’s polite and welcoming to her newest family member.
