But his portrayer, Charles Shaughnessy, still hopes he will return to the daytime. After all, there has to be a villain in the soaps for the drama to go on! Charles spoke about his final day filming for the soap, and it was an unusual farewell for him. Is he happy about it, though? Keep reading TV Season & Spoilers to know what Shaughnessy had to say about his last day on the soap.

General Hospital: Filmed The Last Scene, All Alone!

Recently, the greatest villain of General Hospital, Victor Cassadine, met his end. To save the world, Victor was trying to eliminate half of the it’s population. So, the good guys tracked him down to Greenland, and just when Victor came out, the WSB attacked him through a drone strike and killed him and everyone else with him. This storyline brought an end to Charles’ role on the soap. Shaughnessy opened up about this and said his final filming day was strange and nothing dramatic for someone who’s been playing the villain since September 2021.

While speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Charles said it felt strange as he finished his role with the dead Victor in the body bag. As it was just before a two-week break, Charles said he knew he would come back to shoot Victor’s Will reading scenes. Hence, everyone just said goodbye to him as he’d return after the break. But when Charles resumed shooting for General Hospital, there was hardly anyone to bid him farewell on his last day. He stated he was the only one in front of the camera reading Victor’s will and was called in at 6 PM. Sadly, by then, most of them left!

Has Victor REALLY Met His End?

Victor Cassadine met his end, and we saw him last during his will reading episode. He presented his will reading through a recorded video during the ceremony hosted by Laura Collins. People in Port Charles and the viewers of General Hospital started to think that it was the last time they saw Victor, but was that so? It is a Soap Opera we are watching; anything can happen with its storylines. No one is dead until the writers decide to! They can twist the storyline and bring Victor back in form. After all, it’s all in the hands of the writers.

After filming his last scenes on General Hospital, Shaughnessy attended an event on May 6th along with Kathleen Gati and Marcus Coloma. He posted about this event on his Instagram the same day and invited everyone to visit them. The private dinner was organized by Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club in Philadelphia in Philly, La Famiglia Ristorante. Fans met the stars during the event and got autographs and pictures. It was limited to 50 people, and passes were sold for about $225. The auction also helped raise money for Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

The writers of General Hospital might give the supervillain a majestic comeback! While Charles seems to be done with the role of Victor for now, it is possible he would return, if not in the flesh, maybe as a ghost. However, his portrayer, Charles Shaughnessy, also hopes that he’d return someday. And as he didn’t even get an expected farewell, TV Season & Spoilers think the writers may bring Victor back on screen sooner or later. The legacy has to live on! Stay tuned to our page for updates.
