General Hospital Weekly Preview for July 3 to July 7: Bitter Betrayal, Prison Time and Clearing The Air

General Hospital’s new preview video promo for the week of Monday, July 3 to Friday, July 7 teases prison time, clearing the air and a bitter betrayal, plus an encore episode on Tuesday, July 4. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) enters Pentonville, former rivals Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) clear the air, and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) is bitterly betrayed.

General Hospital Spoilers: Prison Time

Drew begins his three year stint in Pentonville, as he’s booked and gets fingerprinted and a mugshot is taken. He also gets a rather unflattering orange jumpsuit, but he knows that’s what he has to do.

Drew will soon find out, however, that he already has a friend to help him learn the ropes and he may be his cellmate as well.

Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) already told a prison guard about Drew coming “on board” and called him a friend.

Drew may be surprised at Cyrus’ offer, especially since he likely doesn’t know he’s the mayor’s other brother or even who he is!

GH Spoilers: Clearing The Air

Former rivals Sam and Carly clear the air with each other, and Carly laughs and says she missed something.

This new collaboration obviously is for Drew’s sake and for Scout Cain’s (Cosette Abinante) as well. Scout took the news of Drew’s prison stint right in stride, having remembered when her mom did some prison time.

The big advantage is they know where Drew is, and that he’s alive, and a good idea of how long he’ll be there, barring an early release like Sam got.

General Hospital Spoilers: Bitter Betrayal

Sasha is bitterly betrayed by Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) who is working with the psychiatrist overseeing Sasha’s trying to get out of her guardianship.

A scene of Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) giving Sasha a bottle of pills in his office is shown as Gladys is on the phone with him.

Gladys asks if he did it, and he says just as they discussed and it’s only a matter of time.

Gladys tells him it’s the only move she has left, and she won’t let go of her access to Sasha’s financial accounts.

Sasha originally went into guardianship over addiction to pills, and now Gladys is making sure she’s addicted again!

GH Spoilers: Encore Episode, Sonya Eddy Remembered

The encore episode on Tuesday, July 4 is the episode of March 29, 2023 just prior to the 2023 Nurses’ Ball kicking off. It paid honor to Sonya Eddy and explained how Epiphany Johnson died.

She had a heart attack after assisting in a car crash where she saved someone else’s life. Viewers will remember Ms. Eddy died in real life unexpectedly a few months prior.
