Sister Wives star Janelle Brown apologized to Kody Brown but does she have regrets now that she lives as an independent woman? This summer, she’s living her best life in her RV and recently enjoyed a family reunion sans Robyn and her ex-husband.

Sister Wives Fans Cheer On Janelle After Toxic Clash With Kody Brown

Janelle always described her spiritual husband as her “friend,” but following his over-the-top rules about Covid-19, they became way less friendly. Some TLC fans think that she’s often been too accommodating in the past. Actually, she was more willing to compromise than Meri or Christine. Back in 2021, she seemed determined to tell Kody to stay away from her house when he had a run-in with Garrison and Gabe about breaking his rules.

Sister Wives fans chuckled when the news leaked that many of the family contracted the illness during the pandemic, despite the rulebook. Fortunately, nobody died, and the joke was on Robyn Brown and Kody who employed the nanny who brought the virus into their home. However, after making a stand against her husband in Season 16, Episode 6, Janelle apologized. Remember, in the very next episode, the TLC star sent Gabe away out of earshot. Thereupon, she said her sorry story and promised to enforce the boys to abide by Kody’s rules so they could all get together over the festive season.

Sister Wives: The Apology To Kody Brown By Janelle

Over on Reddit, u/ilndgrl1970 picked up on the twist in the tale and wondered why she felt the need to apologize and whether Kody served that respect. After all, Kody’s rules were extreme, and he acted as if he was the poster boy for social distancing. Meanwhile, thousands, if not millions of Americans never went to the same extremes. In actual fact, all he did was push his sons away and in the end, fracture the entire family. Christine kicked him to the curb, Janelle ended up leaving him anyway, and Meri took down her tent and departed to Parowan following Season 17.

Sister Wives fans agreed with Janelle that she did the right thing by standing up for Gabe and Garrison. After all, hardly anyone believed that a medical professional gave Kody Brown his strict social distancing rules, In fact, to this day, they believe that Robyn was behind them, anyway. Furthermore, it’s not like he ever showed such concern when Truely fell ill at four years old, or when Ysabel need her back surgery. So now they look back in hindsight and wonder if the apology was actually necessary.

What do TLC Fans Think?

In the comments on RedditSister Wives one viewer argued that Kody Brown’s rules were never about the pandemic, but a way to control his former second wife. Bear in mind, she was always the independent one, but like Meri, she also believed in the spiritual tenets of her faith.  They argued that Janelle still wanted her spiritual marriage, even if it might have been platonic at the time. So, she bent the knee and apologized.

What are your thoughts? Why do you think of the way she stood up for her kids at first, but later apologised? Sound off in the comments below.
