General Hospital Spoilers: Paralyzed Curtis Wants to Divorce Portia – Stuns Wife by Ending Marriage?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that after all the paralysis hints, it’d be weird if the show didn’t follow up on that in Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) storyline. There’s surely a reason why the doctors are so concerned about Curtis’ spine and the significant damage that was done.
Once Curtis wakes up, his medical team will have a better idea of how much Curtis’ injury will affect him moving forward.
It seems likely Curtis will be partially paralyzed in some way – though the doctors may give him hope that it could be temporary.
It might be a situation where Curtis can regain motion over time with a lot of effort in physical therapy.
However, it’ll still be a shock for Curtis when he awakens and can’t move the way he used to.
This could lead to Curtis becoming bitter as he faces his new reality.
GH spoilers say Portia will attempt to comfort someone during the week of July 24-28, but Curtis may not be very receptive if it’s him.
Portia will be caught by surprise soon after, so Curtis may push for some space.
It’s easy to imagine Curtis lashing out at Portia and perhaps worrying that she only wants him back now out of pity.
GH fans will recall how upset Portia was over Curtis’ kiss with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and the fact that he hid it from her.
Almost losing Curtis helped Portia forget about all that anger, so she may assure Curtis that she’s just happy he’s still alive and that they have this second chance.
Unfortunately, it may not be that simple for Curtis, whose life could change drastically due to this potential paralysis.
Curtis might decide he’s only going to hold Portia back if they stay together and shock her by pushing for a divorce.
Of course, Portia will love Curtis just as much as before and will want to support him through this, but Curtis could become distant – and that goes for his relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), too.
General Hospital spoilers say Portia will confide in Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and most likely try to figure out how she can get through to Curtis, but he may just need time and patience.
Once Curtis gets updates on his prognosis and any treatment plan his doctors can offer, he can process the news and go from there.
