Kody Brown met up with his ex-wife Christine Brown during the Sister Wives season 18 premiere episode, and scolded her for making fun of his COVID-19 diagnosis. The new season is highly-anticipated, and will follow Kody’s splits with his three ex-wives, Christine, Janelle Brown, and Meri Brown. Viewers will be able to see how the women have moved on in their own ways, as well as how the breakups affected Kody’s relationship with Robyn Brown.

In an exclusive clip from the Sister Wives season 18 premiere posted by TLC, Kody and Christine meet for the first time since she left him. The two discuss holiday plans, and Kody requests that everyone gets tested for COVID-19 before reuniting because his whole family had the virus except his daughter, Aurora.

Kody then asks Christine if their daughter Gwendlyn Brown will be coming for Christmas, to which Christine replies no. He reminds Christine that he had COVID-19 on Gwendlyn’s birthday. “You were also out of it,” Christine jokes, with Kody adding, “Was Gwendlyn thinking that was funny too? I was out of my mind.” After Christine and Kody seemingly poke fun at Kody’s COVID-19 diagnosis, things suddenly take a turn, with Kody noting that having COVID gave him anxiety and depression. When Christine mentioned that Gwendlyn was amused, Kody said, “You’re mean that way, it’s OK.”

Kody Brown Says He’s “Not Laughing” Over Sister Wives Drama

It seemed like Christine and Kody’s meetup was supposed to be a way for them to catch up and have fun, but Kody approached the conversation negatively, as usual. In his confessional, he said, “Oh, I’m not laughing. I’m not laughing here. I’m not laughing. I haven’t been laughing with Christine leaving. I’ve never been laughing about this thing.” Kody then expressed his anger about his split with Christine, “She asked me to stop staying at her place. I wasn’t laughing then. She moved my stuff into the garage. I wasn’t laughing then. She left with Truely and she left early. I wasn’t laughing then. I’ve never been laughing about this.”

There’s no doubt that Kody has a lot of resentment since three of his wives left him. Even though he probably deserves to be alone, he still believes that he did nothing wrong to Christine, Janelle, or Meri. It’s likely that Kody is upset with his former wives because he can no longer control what they do anymore. Now, he sees that Christine, Janelle, and Meri have moved on with their lives and are much happier without him, which could make him angry.

The Brown family dynamic will definitely change on Sister Wives season 18. Christine, Janelle, and Meri don’t want to visit Robyn’s house since they’re not connected through Kody anymore. The only reason they’re seeing Kody is so that the kids can be together with their whole family for holidays and special occasions. When Sister Wives season 18 returns, viewers will see Kody’s life unravel as Christine, Janelle, and Meri learn to finally stand up for themselves.
