General Hospital Spoilers: Spencer Moves Out After Esme Crosses the Line – Takes Stand to Protect Trina Romance?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that many GH fans have grown frustrated with the current story direction for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Things were going so well for Trina and Spencer during all the Greenland drama – at least when it came to their romance.
Unfortunately, the show lost all that momentum and has been having Spencer bond with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) again instead.
Spencer and Trina’s relationship hasn’t really progressed since their time on The Haunted Star, so “Sprina” supporters aren’t happy.
It feels like Trina and Spencer are stuck in limbo while Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) tries to push Spencer away from her daughter and Esme tries to pull him closer.
However, we want to focus on Esme for a moment since she’s clearly hoping she’ll be able to win Spencer over and make him her boyfriend again.
After everything Esme did to Spencer, Trina, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and others in Port Charles, there’s no reason for Spencer to be warming up to her.
Esme has amnesia and is seemingly a good mom to Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), but none of that changes the fact that she did things like drug Trina and frame her so that she nearly went to prison.
Not remembering doesn’t absolve Esme of guilt, so why would Spencer want to bond with the woman who targeted Trina?
Esme needs to be permanent enemy number one as far as Spencer’s concerned!
It’s one thing to be civil for Ace’s sake, but it’s quite another to lead Esme on or give her any sign of hope.
Spencer can surely see that Esme wants him back, so it’s time for him to put her in her place.
All of this could be building to a moment when Esme crosses the line in a way that Spencer can’t ignore.
Esme might dive in for a lip lock or even try to initiate lovemaking, but this could be Spencer’s chance to pump the brakes and turn this storyline around.
Will Spencer eventually decide to move out and refuse to live under the same roof with Esme any longer?
Spencer could still spend plenty of time with Ace without cohabitating with Esme, so it might be time for him to live elsewhere.
If this happens right as Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) return to Port Charles, then Spencer won’t have to worry about Esme being left alone with Ace anyway.
Bottom line, there’s a way to salvage this storyline if Spencer takes charge of the situation and proves that he’s willing to take a stand for Trina’s sake. Spencer might move out and shut Esme down!
That could even give Spencer and Trina a place to finally make love for the first time, which is another development that “Sprina” fans are waiting on.
