General Hospital Spoilers: Carly’s Betrayal of Sonny Saves Nina’s Future with Corinthos Mob Boss?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that everyone’s waiting on Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) downfall since she secretly turned in Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) for insider trading.
That obviously was a vindictive thing to do, but Drew and Carly DID commit a crime!
Nina’s secret isn’t great news for her relationship with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and could obviously have a huge impact on her engagement to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as well.
Sonny doesn’t like being lied to – nor does he like someone putting people he cares about at risk.
However, Carly has done those same things along with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Michael schemed to put Sonny behind bars and hired Dex to make it happen, but now he’s pretending he’d never want his father in prison!
It was disgusting to watch Michael act all high and mighty with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) when he got accused of handing Sonny over to the feds.
Michael’s plot was serious, even if he reluctantly dropped it in the end.
Carly chose to cover that up and encouraged Dex – the secret plant who deceived Sonny from the start – to continue working for him.
That’s a safety risk for Sonny, especially now that Dex is worried about whether he might’ve botched the fragmented flash drive disposal.
Carly is basically running her own little operation where Dex reports to Michael, who then reports to Mommy dearest.
It’s insulting for them to think Sonny needs their help to run his organization, especially if their “help” could’ve potentially been the reason for Sonny’s takedown.
Although it’s unlikely that flash drive had anything to do with Sonny’s arrest, the point is it wouldn’t even be a possibility if Michael hadn’t plotted and Dex hadn’t been so careless.
Since Carly hasn’t been honest with Sonny about things that directly affect his business, that seems so much worse than Nina reporting an SEC violation.
Sonny’s not going to be happy about Nina’s actions, but he could end up downright furious with Carly and her whole motley crew!
Could this be how GH writers plan to salvage Nina’s future with Sonny?
Will Carly’s betrayal be what saves Nina from losing Sonny since it was worse by comparison?
