General Hospital is taking the term “delayed gratification” on to a totally different level all together when it comes to Spencer and Trina. First they stretched their long awaited reunion and confession of love over months and months. Now they are spreading viewers’ patience thin with not even letting the two young love birds consummate their romance in bed. Sometimes we can’t help but wonder if the Soap Gods are getting some chuckles out of it, or do they really have something else in mind for SPRINA.
If Spencer and Trina’s twisted family lives weren’t enough, General Hospital also threw Esme as a third wheel in their relationship. Alongside Ace, she is always there like a thorn in Spencer and Trina’s path to each other. But why? Is she consciously trying to throw off their relationship for sadistic pleasure, like the old evil Esme would. Or has she somehow developed some genuine romantic feelings for Spencer? Well, let’s find out the answer from the horses mouth itself!
In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, Avery Pohl shed some light on what’s going through Esme’s mind on General Hospital. Does she have feelings for Spencer and is she deliberately trying to push SPRINA off the rails? let’s find out! “I think that Esme is not fully aware of her feelings or her actions.” Avery pointed. Furthermore, she chimed that amnesiac Esme does not have the same capabilities as her former self. So there is a fair chance that she really does not understand what she is doing. Or the impact her actions are having on other people.
However, it is to be noted that even the old Esme never understood the consequences her actions had on others. Right now, it feels like the story is building towards Esme road-rolling SPRINA to snatch Spencer back. But Avery defends Esme saying, “I don’t think realizes her little mini crush on Spencer yet.” But that’s something that could change anytime on General Hospital. She may suddenly get her memories. And along with that her evil intents. Or she may realize her budding feelings for Ace’s big bro and decide to act upon them.
