General Hospital Spoilers: Cyrus’ Backup Plan Puts Nikolas at Risk – New Leverage Shocks Laura?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will have to find a new path forward now that his latest plan has failed. Cyrus thought he’d gained the upper hand on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but he actually took Sonny’s bait!
Sonny planted that bogus Pikeman delivery information for Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) to find, so she gave the intel to Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey).
Once Mason pushed Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) to deliver the flash drive to the boss, Cyrus gave it to the warden – who then apparently took the info to the feds.
Since the delivery turned out to be crates full of coffee beans, the evidence didn’t hold up in court.
Cyrus may have been hoping his role in Sonny’s takedown would lead to his early release, but that’s obviously not happening since Sonny’s charges were dismissed.
With all that in mind, GH spoilers say Cyrus will need a new strategy if he expects to be a free man again.
Could Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) become Cyrus’ get-out-of-jail-free card?
Austin has been pushing Nikolas to reveal himself to Ava Jerome (Maura West) and rejoin the land of the living.
Nikolas might regret not making his Port Charles comeback sooner if Cyrus makes a bold move!
At the moment, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) thinks Nikolas abandoned him again – and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is off on a wild goose chase for Nik that’s becoming increasingly worrisome.
Cyrus might decide to use Nikolas as leverage, but that’d require making him a true hostage.
Nikolas is free to come and go from Austin’s house as he pleases right now, but that could change in the near future.
Perhaps Cyrus will order Mason to kidnap Nikolas and stash him somewhere. Cyrus might summon Laura and push her to use her mayoral connections to find a way to free him.
If Laura ever wants to be reunited with her precious son, Cyrus might argue that she’ll make his freedom happen for him.
It could force Laura to play by Cyrus’ rules if she wants Nikolas to stay alive and come back to his family.
Laura will indeed come home to PC this fall, so stay tuned for updates on whether Cyrus might deliver some shocking Nikolas news and put Laura in a tight spot.
