The soap opera world continues to mourn the loss of three-time Daytime Emmy winner, Billy Miller. Floods of tributes have come out from fans, friends, and colleagues in the land of social media since word of his passing was released on Sunday, September 17. Miller’s mom, Patricia Miller, took the opportunity to issue a heartbreaking statement via her son’s manager, Marnie, recently.

She notes that in light of Billy’s passing, she wanted to share some thoughts. She goes on to say, “I want to personally thank the many fans and friends for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and condolences sent to me and my family on the devastating death of my beautiful son BJ – Billy Miller. He fought a long, hard valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease. He loved his family, friends, and fans, but in the end, the disease won the fight, and he surrendered his life. The other causes of death being told are not true. I wish they were, but they aren’t. We all loved him so much and are desperately trying to deal with our loss. I will have nothing further to say. Thanks for the love and support.”

Billy Miller’s next soap stop was Genoa City in 2014 when he jumped into another legendary role, Jason Morgan on General Hospital (GH), which later evolved into the Drew Cain character (Jason’s twin brother).

Miller had primetime parts in various shows like The Truth Be Told, CSI, and Suits.
