General Hospital Recap: Tuesday, September 19 – Valentin Lies Again – Sonny Says No – Hotel Ransacker Revealed
General Hospital (GH) spoilers’ recap for Tuesday, September 19 notes that some questions on many fans’ minds were finally answered. Time to dive into today’s Port Charles drama!
First off, as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is assessing her hotel ransacking, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) comes to the door, looking for her “Papa”. It’s evidently clear that while the teen is trying to remain polite, there’s a slight coldness she’s projecting toward the former spy.
As Anna tries to reach Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), he’s still with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) digesting what he saw on the Metro Court videotape. Both are quite shocked.
Valentin abruptly leaves Nina to head back to Anna, begging her not to tell a soul about what she saw in the video footage, and she reluctantly agrees.
Valentin arrives at Anna’s ransacked hotel room, to find the police there. He’s a tad abrupt with Charlotte when he gets there.
Anna asks if the video footage revealed her perpetrator, and Valentin lies and says the video footage was missing when he and Nina reviewed it.
Over at the Savoy, N’neka the bartender greets Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and notes that the bar hasn’t been this slow in months.
Of course, GH’s top female mobster, Selina Wu (Lydia Look), saunters into the establishment, with some eye candy on her arm. The mob queen bee notes that she and her companion are on their way to the new club in town, Intrigue, which is busy as can be, but she stopped in for a drink out of loyalty to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
As N’neka watches on the September 19 General Hospital episode, Wu once again offers to buy the Savoy and take the bar off Curtis’s hands and Marshall vehemently declines her proposal. The two banter back and forth, as N’neka watches on.
With a concerned look on her face, the bartender calls someone and tells them to stop by right away.
Speaking of Curtis, he gets a visit from bio-daughter Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). She brings a new video game for them to play, while Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) watches on. However, between killing zombies and chomping on popcorn, Portia gets called away by someone.
Trina and Curtis have a heart-to-heart. First, they talk about the Savoy, in which Curtis alludes to walking away from the bar. Trina pushes her bio dad by stating that owning the establishment was his “dream”, and Ashford responds that dreams change.
Curtis switches the subject to talk about Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), and Trina reveals that the two are going away to NYC for a weekend, although she’s yet to tell her mom.
Trina tells Curtis that she thinks she is falling in love with Spencer, and he questions her about their relationship but ultimately supports her. He also reveals he gained a lot of respect for Spencer during their time in Greenland.
Outside of Port Charles at the hideaway cabin, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) talk about Sasha’s ordeal.
Cody changes out of Dr. Montague’s (Darin Toonder) clothes and finds pills in his pocket. The foursome deducts exactly what Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and the vile doctor were up to when it came to Sasha, but they are stuck on “proving” it all.
They decide to sit on it for a bit, and Dante agrees to run some tests on the pills they found. As Sam and Dante leave the cabin, Cody suggests that he and Sasha think about “disappearing”.
Over to the General Hospital mob world, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has a meeting in his office with a representative from Pikeman, Mr. (Roman) Hume (Mark Engelhardt), with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) present.
Mr. Hume brings a peace offering for the hassle Corinthos endured during his arrest by the feds; a briefcase full of cash. Sonny refuses the deal and makes it clear that the feds had nothing but questions about Pikeman, and he’s not willing to go down for them.
Sonny refuses to do business with Pikeman until the leak in the investigation is found. After Mr. Hume leaves, Dex notes his car had an NYC license plate.
Dex and Sonny talk about Pikeman, and both agree to cut ties, but Pikeman won’t take no for an answer. Sonny states that he’s just buying time at this point.
Back at the Metro Court offices, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) barge in as Nina’s looking at the security footage again.
They ask what Nina’s doing, and she lies, saying she was checking wedding dates and bookings. The couple shrugs it off and heads to the Savoy for a drink.
They two also note how “dead” the place is from their last visit. Marshall swings by and chats with them, as Eddie talks about his new song. Marshall notes that if it is finished by the next week, then Eddie can debut his new single at the bar.
Portia arrives at the Savoy, acting like she needs to get out of the house, but really, it is because N’neka called her.
The two talk about Marshall and Selina’s face-off and they both agree that Marshall doesn’t comprehend how dangerous the GH mob queen is.
Portia tries to talk to Marshall about his conversation with Selina and her buying the Savoy, but he makes it crystal-clear that he will not back down.
The show ends with Valentin and Charlotte walking out of Anna’s hotel room, as he glares his daughter down, and then flashes to Nina, looking at the Metro Court video footage from earlier that night.
The footage reveals that as CDL warned GH fans last week, it was Charlotte who ransacked Anna’s room, as Nina mutters, “Charlotte, what have you done?”
