General Hospital Spoilers: Mystery of Anna’s House Fire Solved – Pikeman’s Real Target Is Valentin?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans remain curious about Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house fire and who really started it. The show has been trying to make Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) look guilty, but things are rarely as simple as they seem in situations like this.
Valentin is indeed lying to Anna, but it’s possible for him to be guilty of one thing and innocent of another.
Just because Valentin is being dishonest doesn’t mean he’s hiding the fact that he burned Anna’s townhouse down.
Of course, GH fans know Valentin wasn’t where he claimed to be on the night of the blaze. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) confirmed that Valentin’s car wasn’t in the ELQ parking lot or any of the surrounding areas.
Plus, there wasn’t an ELQ water main break, so Valentin was somewhere else when the fire broke out.
There’s an easy explanation if Pikeman lured Valentin away from the scene of the crime they were about to commit.
Valentin might’ve been ordered to attend a meeting somewhere, but it was probably a distraction so they could make this bold move.
As for why Pikeman would do this, it might be to show Valentin who’s boss.
If Valentin has been trying to cut ties with Pikeman, this might’ve been their way of proving that he’s under their control and will remain there.
The person who lit the fire waited until Anna was out for a run, so she was never meant to be harmed.
This house fire was a dramatic display of power, but why bother if Anna doesn’t even know who’s responsible?
Perhaps it’s because Valentin indeed knows who’s to blame and how much is at stake.
The point of burning down Anna’s home may have been to rattle Valentin into submission by threatening someone he loves.
Maybe Valentin has also been warned that Anna or even Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) will be in danger if he tells Anna what’s going on.
Valentin may be trying to protect Anna by leaving her in the dark.
Whatever the case, we’re not buying the idea that Valentin is headed back into villain territory. Valentin has come too far to revert to his sinister roots entirely.
It seems more likely that Anna’s suffering is being used as a tool to make sure Valentin keeps following orders!
