General Hospital Spoilers: Mason Delivers Hostage Ava to Nikolas – Betrays Cyrus’ Orders

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) seemed uncomfortable when Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) ordered “divine retribution” for Ava Jerome (Maura West). Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was clear about not hurting Ava, but Cyrus insisted he was the one running the show and told Mason to get it done.

Mason doesn’t have a problem taking people out permanently if need be, but it’s a special situation with Ava.

Deep down, Mason honestly seems to enjoy their little sparring sessions and probably doesn’t want her gone for good.

However, Mason is between a rock and a hard place here.

Defying Cyrus’ orders could result in Mason losing his own life, but defying Nikolas could just as easily have the same result.

Mason doesn’t want to get on either man’s bad side, so he’s in a tight spot.

That’s why Mason might let Cyrus think he’s disposed of Ava forever while secretly delivering her to Nikolas – perhaps for a hefty reward.

Mason ambushed Ava at Wyndemere in GH’s September 29 episode, but the place was left empty soon after.

It appears Mason abducted Ava from the castle, so they may have wound up on a plane headed to Switzerland or another destination of Nikolas’ choosing.

Ava is no doubt terrified of what Mason might do to her, so she may plead for her life and try to negotiate with Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) dangerous cousin.

Nevertheless, Mason may insist this is out of his hands and argue that it’s time for Ava to have a little reunion.

Ava might be chained up somewhere when Nikolas appears and leaves her shocked to learn he’s still alive.

Nikolas has been known to lock up women who cause drama for him – like when he held pregnant Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) captive.

Now hostage Ava may be at Nikolas’ mercy, so he may give her a scare despite having no intention of harming her.

Of course, Ava will eventually be a free woman again and will land back in Port Charles, so there’ll come a day when Cyrus realizes Mason didn’t do what he was told.

Cyrus has already been thinking about getting rid of Mason anyway, so he might order Austin or someone else to take him out.
