Sister Wives fans can all agree that Kody Brown isn’t a prize of a father. For seasons, the patriarch has been pushing away his older children to favor the younger ones. Often coming across as Mr. Trunchbull in his live-action version of Matilda, Kody is failing to be a standup father. Viewers first noticed that Kody would often treat his four wives differently, but enough was enough when the same trait moved to the children.
For multiple seasons, TLC fans have watched Kody lose control as head of the household and lash out at those around him. The family was once the face of polygamy, but after a rough few years, their perfect-looking lifestyle started to crash down around them. Now Kody is trying to pick up the pieces of what he feels like everyone else ruined, but really, Kody needs to take a real hard look at himself and realize he is the problem.
Has Kody Looked in the Mirror?
During a recent episode of Sister Wives, Kody thought it would be fruitful to refer to his estranged children as “jerks.” In what was a very dark dinner, which comprised of salad, Gwen, Garrison, Gabe, and Savanah all finally were able to release their true feelings about how Kody had treated them.
Garrison shared that he would no longer be interacting with Robyn anymore, stating, “And Robyn’s mad that she can’t have this effect on our lives anymore because we just don’t care anymore. All the siblings think, ‘Robyn, have him; we don’t care anymore. We’re all grown adults that don’t need a father figure anymore.”
In his own confessional, the polygamist called his kids “jerks” and added he doesn’t want to “call them or talk to them’ anymore.” Kody’s lack of emotion for losing his children was on full display and seemed to stem from a Christmas text chain which Robyn Brown involved herself in.
For some reason, Kody felt it was perfectly okay to blame his children for the way the family has turned out, forgetting the golden rule that no matter how old, the child is always the child in this situation.
What Dad Calls His Kids Jerks?

As a viewer, my heart broke into about a million pieces when Kody finally exhaled his hate toward his older children. All I could think was, how can a father call his children jerks when they are clearly just hurting? The father of 18 is an animal, not even contemplating just how damaging his words are to his children. Kody has tried for months to hide his contempt.
The scary thing was Kody didn’t really seem bothered by his actions as he dug himself a deeper hole when he said that if his children were going to act poorly to him, he would do it right back. Kody has been showing his true colors, including not visiting his children on Christmas, not calling them, and talking badly about them. The ironic thing is Kody keeps complaining that his wives are speaking negatively to his children about him, but in reality, he is bad-mouthing them left and right.
Kody Is a Child
The sentiment of I’m rubber, you’re glue may work on the playground, but it doesn’t work for a father of 18 trying to come across as his own real-life hero. It has become more obvious that Kody is making a charge to disown all three of his first wives and their children. The subtle tactics of emotional and physical abandonment, COVID-19 excuses, and blaming the moms are all a ploy to make him feel like he is in control.
Since none of those tactics worked to get rid of them completely, he is now just flat-out saying it. By claiming that he hates most of the family and doesn’t want them in his life just makes him look like the total POS he is.
Sadly, Kody’s antics are going to mess up his children for the rest of their lives. No matter what any grown child claims, everyone wants to have a father in their lives. The hardest thing for them must be the fact that, at one point, Kody was a really doting dad who walked on water and gave them much attention. So what really changed? Could it be that Kody just felt disrespected? It’s called having teenagers, dude. Get over it. Honestly he is the scum of the earth.
