NCIS Hawaii fans left gushing as Kate shares rare insight into ‘cute’ childhood dream
NCIS Hawaii fans took to social media with glee after Kate Whistler opened up about her childhood aspirations.
Monday’s episode of NCIS Hawaii took CBS viewers to outer space as the skilled agents worked closely with the NASA team.
With the space specialists situated on the sunny island, they were asked to prepare for a real lift-off to Mars, however, Commander Graham passed out during a space simulation.
After they discovered he had been poisoned, there were shockwaves through the team as the close camp had been living in a sealable dome.
With tensions looming within the NASA Team, the NCIS Hawaii agents were called in to investigate the attempted murder of Navy personnel.
As they were supposed to be preparing for a major mission, the agents felt resistance from the camp and were initially denied access by Commander Tanny McCarthy (played by Gloria Ruben).
She feared it would ruin the mission and only granted Ernie Malik (Jason Antoon) access, as he had previously applied for the Mars Space Progam to fulfill his childhood dream.
While the NCIS agents returned to their base, they got talking about their own aspirations.
Lucy Tara (Yasmine Al-Bustami) kicked off the discussion as she asked: “Speaking of dreams, Kate what is yours, really?”
Kai Holman (Alex Tarrant) interrupted: “Let me guess, CPA?”
“This, from the guy who refuses to say what he wanted to be,” Jesse Boone (Noah Mills) jibed.
A defeated Kai answered: “A Next Iron chef, “ to which Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) remarked: “I like that.”
Kate revealed her childhood dream was to be “Miss America,” which sparked a major frenzy among viewers.
Taking to Twitter, @gini__us gushed: “I FIND THIS ENTIRE SCENE SO ADORABLE.”
A second viewer @Willia3Mac added: “Kate likes the wave for Miss America. OMG THIS MADE HER EVEN MORE CUTE, IF THATS EVEN POSSIBLE!!!” (sic)
@lindsay_0208 remarked: “Kate wanted to be Miss America. I love it.”
An impressed @TheKevTravel added: “Oh FOR SURE Kate Whistler would’ve been a PERFECT Miss America.”
As @roobarbing tweeted: “Miss America Kate Whistler! Nice ring to it!”
A sixth viewer @izzi_456 joked: “MISS AMERICA?? Is it time for a miss congeniality au??”
NCIS Hawaii season 2 continues Mondays on CBS in the USA and Disney+ in the UK.
