General Hospital Update: Thursday, May 4 – Sonny’s Warning Scares Nina – Dex’s Second Thoughts – Island Blowup Countdown
General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, May 4, teases that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will rant about someone messing with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) since the SEC tip is creating all kinds of unfortunate complications.
Sonny will cling to hope that Drew can bring Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) home before he gets caught, but he’ll feel like this SEC drama never should’ve happened in the first place.
Perhaps Sonny will even vow to retaliate if he ever finds out who’s at fault.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will end up scared over Sonny’s warning since she’s to blame for turning Drew and Carly in, but she’ll just bury that secret and distract Sonny as best as she can.
At GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) will offer some difficult updates regarding Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) prognosis, so Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will need Carly’s support more than ever.
Once Michael processes TJ’s news, he’ll put on a brave face in front of Willow.
There’ll be a situation where Willow has to choose between some tricky options, but Michael will feel like they have to listen to TJ’s advice and take their last chance of Willow surviving.
Of course, Willow is in a situation that could grow increasingly dire.
The weaker Willow becomes, the harder it’ll be for her to survive the bone marrow transplant she needs from Liesl when the time comes.
On The Haunted Star, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) will put Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) trust to the test.
Spencer may assure Curtis that he’s no longer loyal to Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) at all and intends to make Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) safety a priority.
Curtis may once again urge Spencer and Trina to bolt for the seaplane with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), but Spencer may struggle with that idea since Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is still on the ship.
Maybe Curtis will convince Spencer that he’ll do whatever it takes to save his grandmother along with Drew and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Speaking of Valentin, his visions of Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) will get even worse as death comes dangerously close to overtaking him.
Fortunately, Valentin will keep fighting the pathogen and will hold out hope that someone will give him the antidote soon.
The countdown to island destruction is on thanks to the new WSB director’s order, but Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) will fight to get that mission aborted before it’s too late.
In the bunker, Laura will continue threatening to shatter the pathogen vial and unleash quite a nightmare.
Victor will try to call Laura’s bluff, but he may have concerns about her next move anyway.
Next, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will talk to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) about Sonny’s takedown and whether Dex might be having second thoughts.
Dex might admit there have been times when he was conflicted about Sonny and the kind of person he really is, but he’ll stand his ground on supporting Michael’s plan.
It’s Michael who may soon start to waver, especially since Willow won’t want him to send Sonny to prison and blow up his family.
