General Hospital Spoilers: Steve Burton’s GH Comeback – Wally Kurth Hints at Jason Morgan’s Return

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) could be headed back to Port Charles in the not-too-distant future. Although Steve Burton currently plays Harris Michaels on Days of Our Lives, many GH viewers are holding out hope that he might soap hop again and return as Jason in PC.

On Twitter recently, fans started buzzing over Wally Kurth’s (Ned Quartermaine on General Hospital, Justin Kiriakis on Days) comments in a podcast interview.

Kurth acknowledged that Burton was on DOOL now, but he said he bets that Burton will be back on GH soon.

Kurth’s opinion obviously isn’t a guarantee, but we’re inclined to agree with him! General Hospital intentionally gave Jason an open-ended exit since there’s no proof that he perished in that cave-in back in 2021.

Jason’s body was never recovered, so that cert ainly leaves the door open for him to return and shake things up in Port Charles.

Although Burton was fired from GH for refusing to get vaccinated, Disney later dropped their company-wide mandate.

Burton previously expressed hope that he might be able to make a PC comeback one day, so maybe the show will work out a new deal with him eventually.

Of course, we have to point out that Burton is currently on contract at Days of Our Lives, but it seems like DOOL fans haven’t responded with much enthusiasm when it comes to him reprising his role as Harris Michaels.

Harris is basically a watered-down version of Jason, but DOOL honestly doesn’t need that type of guy since they have others to rely on for their heroic storylines.

Salem is overcrowded with unnecessary characters, so Burton just doesn’t seem to have a long-term future on that show.

It’s probably just a matter of time until Burton exits Days and is free for a GH comeback since he’s much more beloved over there.

Some actors like Kurth are able to do both soaps, but it seems more likely that Burton will ultimately settle back in Port Charles – hopefully for good!
