General Hospital Spoilers: Lois Cerullo’s Stunning Love Confession – Never Got Over Eddie Maine
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal some surprising revelations on the horizon. Much to many fans’ delight, actress Rena Sofer is returning to the land of Port Charles, set to reprise her iconic Lois Cerullo character. She played the long-finger-nailed, fiery brunette from 1993 to 1997, and while the role was recast by Lesli Kay from 2004 to 2005, there’s nothing quite like the original in daytime drama.
According to GH spoilers, Lois is set to come back sometime in October, and viewers can expect some nice mother-daughter scenes between her and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), which will add a layer to Brook Lynn’s character and her storyline.
With that being said, what is the reason behind Lois’s comeback to the little town?
Lois may storm into Port Chuckles looking to tear into Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) for all she’s done to her daughter as of late, but is the real reason for her return, Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth)?
For those that recall, Brook Lynn’s very existence is all thanks to the love story shared between Lois and Ned Quartermaine in the 1990s; however, what caught Lois’s attention to Mr. Q was his Eddie Maine alter ego.
She fell in love with Eddie the rockstar, not Ned, ELQ’s corporate star, and the super couple fizzled fast after the truth of who Neddie “really” was, hit the fan.
Of course, Tracy never liked the sassy music producer and worked hard to keep her away from Ned, plus the stress that “being a part” of the Q family was just too much for Lois, so she left town in the late ‘90s.
But the chemistry between Lois and Eddie was magic, that is, until it wasn’t anymore.
Ned’s accident occurred in June, and three months later, he’s still in his Eddie state.
Lois may likely return under the notion that she’s there to see her daughter, meet Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), and catch up with old friends.
But will there be an underlying motive to see Eddie again? He was her perfect match in the 1990s until he had to brush that all aside and focus on ELQ.
As Eddie and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) have been bonding, Lois tearing into town could place a wedge within their impending connection.
Will Lois do anything underhanded or will she have genuine intentions?
