General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Knows About Dex & Michael’s Plan, He’s Known For A While
General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may be on to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) revenge plan. After all, he secretly knew about the relationship between Josslyn Jack (Eden McCoy) and his henchman all along but kept it to himself.
When the two were exposed at the 2023 Nurse’s Ball, the mob boss told them that he’s been aware of their relationship for quite a while but didn’t say anything. If “his people” have informed Sonny about Joss’s visits, why not tell them about Michael’s? Could this scene have foreshadowed that Sonny has known about Heller’s scheme with Michael, but has kept quiet all this time?
GH Spoilers: Why Would Sonny Corinthos Keep Quiet About A Plan To Bring Him Down?
GH spoilers continue to suggest that Sonny is a changed man. He’s not the cut-throat mob boss he used to be, especially since his return from Nixon Falls. Still, why would Sonny be “in the know” about a revenge scheme to bring him down but keep it to himself? There could be a number of reasons.
First and foremost, Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) illness. Willow isn’t only Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) daughter, the mob boss has a special place in his heart for Michael’s love. As Sonny is a changed man, he knows what’s really important in life, and that’s being there for loved ones and family in need. He may know what Michael’s up to but refrain from doing anything so as to not upset his son during this hard time. Mr. Corinthos knows that Michael needs to stay focused on Willow, so why create more drama for the young lady by exposing his son or even exacting his own revenge back on him?
Plus, he may be aiming to teach Michael (and Dex) a lesson.
GH Spoilers: Pikeman Shipment Isn’t Real, It’s A Test
Perhaps the Pikeman shipment deal isn’t “real”, but rather a test organized by Sonny, all along, to expose the two men, and teach them a real lesson. Not one where they have to fear their lives or a lashing by the mob boss; however, maybe this shipment will be a way for Sonny to show the two he has changed.
If he knows what they’ve been up to, and that he hasn’t retaliated in the way they thought the “old Sonny” would, maybe he can finally get through to his son. Maybe the mob boss sees this as an opportunity to smooth things over with Michael and prove to him that he’s a better man than before. That he’s learned from his past mistakes; that the two can have a good relationship now.
