Robyn Brown of Sister Wives has never been in love with the idea of plural marriage, even though she claimed it was her dream. The fourth and favorite wife of Kody Brown has been made into the villain of the series thanks to her impromptu crying. There’s no doubt that Robyn truly loves Kody, but she clearly wasn’t prepared for the drama.

Robyn joined the family back in 2010, when Kody decided spontaneously that he wanted to bring a fourth wife into the mix. The Sister Wives star seemed sweet enough, as she often spoke with a sweet demeanor and seemed to want the best for the large family. However, as the years dragged on, it became obvious that Kody favored Robyn and her children, giving them special perks. Robyn clearly grew accustomed to this type of treatment and started to want Kody all to herself.

One major clue that Robyn never intended to be a full sister wife is the fact that she wouldn’t allow Christine, Janelle, or Meri Brown to help her raise her children. Robyn and Kody surprised everyone when it was revealed she hired a nanny to come and help with their five kids. At the beginning of Sister Wives, all four women shared that a huge part of a plural family was for the wives to help one another out. However, Robyn never allowed Kody’s three other spouses to lend a hand.

2, Robyn Refused To Back Up Meri

Robyn and Meri started out with a great bond, as both would often confide in one another, with Meri often being Robyn’s biggest supporter. However, over the years, Meri began to vent about her issues with the polygamous family as she became more irritated with her own marriage to Kody. During Sister Wives season 17, Meri called out Robyn after becoming irritated by the fourth wife’s choice to stay silent during major family discussions. Robyn didn’t seem phased by Meri, which was another clue that the mother of five had no intention of living in a plural marriage forever.

3, Kody Needed To Be Available For Robyn’s Kids

Even though Kody was already spread pretty thin, Robyn expected him to be emotionally available for her five children. While Christine, Janelle, and Meri were often forced to fend for themselves, Robyn’s constant need to have Kody around was another clue that she wanted the father of 18 to herself.

4, Robyn’s Strict COVID-19 Rules

The biggest clue that Robyn never ever wanted to live a polygamous lifestyle was when she implemented strict COVID-19 rules. The Sister Wives star had Kody hunker down at her house and social distance from the rest of the family. It was understandable to want to stay safe, but the way she handled it just screamed that she was selfish instead of selfless.
